Before wasting your time with this plug-in you need to check with your hosting company to find out the limit on the number of emails your hosting will allow to be sent out per day and month. Most if not all hosting companies now limit the amount of emails to 250. In some cases even lower. This plug-in does not have a feature for allowing you to break up the emails into 250 packets and send them per day. There is no indication that the emails do not go out except when your subscibers start complaining that they never received the email.
So this plug-in is fine if you only have a few emails to go out per month. But if you have a great many emails you should look for a service that provides bulk emails such as Constant Contact or GoDaddy.
After updated the latest version this email newsletter docent work on WP4.3. Broken or Hacked.
I have a relatively simple site that's grown more complicated over time as I've added a number of plugins.
This one works well with my site to collect email addresses.
Really it's pretty darn simple to use with a simple goal and seems to work just fine.
I haven't had any issues and it took like 5 mins to setup. I have different sites so I use this for one. I don't see any reason to switch. definitely would recommend to people.
Nice functions included and easy layout but obviously has bugs as it is not working for me. Even after setting up all right email addreses and settings it sends itself from server's administrative email and fails with return to wrong email as well. Too much stress
I used this for a long time and all was OK. However, several months ago it started adding random exclamation marks and spaces to the email text body. I contacted the plugin support but I got no resolution & despite trying they couldn't duplicate the problem. I ended up switching to "Newsletter" - which has a built in HTML editor/writer for the emails and also has email tarpitting (despatch/scheduling/limits) management built in...
there is some things i founded
1. In widget.php (W3C warning)
The language attribute on the script element is obsolete. You can safely omit it
2. when I active widget I have (W3C Error)
the id of aside is (email newsletter)
An ID must not contain whitespace
3. (W3C Error) In widget.php
Element link is missing required attribute property
<link rel="stylesheet" media="screen" type="text/css" href="<?php echo emailnews_plugin_url('widget/widget.css'); ?>" />
easy and nice plugin
I have one doubt how to redirect after submitting email...
I have a wp website with theme pinboard and wanted to publish my events (event manager) as a newsletter. Could not get it work. Was not responsive and images didn't open. Mailchimp was much better.
