Running a blog (https://churchm.ag) with multiple authors – both regular and guests – is made so much eaiser with Edit Flow.
It's one of those plugins that I would pay a premium to use. Srsly.
Please ignore the low ratings that others have given this because they claim that it doesn't work with other plugins....no plugin author can guarantee that there will never be a conflict with another plugin, and plugins should be evaluated and rated on their own merits (and how they work with WordPress), not with their interoperability (or lack thereof) with other plugins.
There are also some older low-star reviews left during an interim period when it appeared that EditFlow was no longer being supported, which no longer applies. CURRENTLY and for the foreseeable future, EditFlow is developed and supported by the team at Auttomatic, so you can be assured that they will ensure that it works with the current version of WP (and a reasonable number of older versions, not all older versions).
BASED ON it's own merits, EditFlow is an EXCELLENT plugin. It is a MUST for any serious magazine-style content site, or multi-author blog where a tighter control over editorial content and publishing is needed.
The number of features it offers is amazing, it works great, and keep in mind that this is a free plugin! That's a 5-star worthy plugin in my opinion.
Edit Flow is the most important plugin I've found for running a multi-author site and one of the absolute best plugins I've come across so far.
It enables a multi-author blog because it lets you move content between different queues and communicate with team members within the post editor on posts.
I don't think this plugin is actively supported anymore. That's too bad because this is a very useful plugin. There are not many options around which can do all of this.
April 13, 2016 and I just got an update notification after I updated WP to 4.5.
Exactement ce que l'on recherche comme outil de programmation de publication d'articles wordpress. Permets de planifier les articles et de gérer tout le workflow auteur->publication.
Real hidden treasure. And I found out about this today.
I im trying to replicate some separate web based platform for projects, tasks, clients, inovicing, colored post statuses, etc... With this plugin is less headache.
But, it can be used for many other things.
Not sure why I don't see this plugin mentioned more - it's amazing and essential IMHO.
WordPress' current post statuses are far too limiting for serious publishing. Managing a list of posts that are, ready to be published, just ideas, and everything else in between categorized solely as 'drafts' is madness.
Edit Flow has a lot of nice features, but the ability to create additional statuses like ideas, rough drafts, and final drafts is extremely helpful and why I'm giving it 5-stars.
I don't know how I ever managed my site without this. I'm feeling so organized! I love the drag-and-drop calendar. It's essential for those of us who are "visual" planners.
Definitely get this plugin if you run a busy blog with multiple authors.
