1 year only updates was trying to get mine updated then noticed this. Not paying yearly for one site use.
It is very nice and what I need but not worth yearly renewal for updates and has a lot of SQL db entries at least the version I used did it was PRO 126.96.36.199
I informed this plugins support of various virus warnings I kept getting every time I loaded a system to protect my wordpress site, no matter what antivirus plugin I selected they all reccomended de installing the plugin, and removing it. The support reply to my issue was and I quote; "Its ok, dont wory"
The same isue applies to all three plugins they bundle Easy Gallery, East Slider and Easy popup. £50 quids worth
Support will not refund your money even if you request it back within 24 hour of purchase and offer to return the Licences, I for one feel the plugin looks and works like a dream but the service and support ar rubbish.
lots of videos that all show only the very basics. No blog/self help for those who were foolish enough to pay for the Pro version. Putting in a support ticket requires giving full admin control info. Sometimes takes weeks to get an answer - if at all.
This plugin is more complicated than I bargained for. There is no real user's guide for the functions and settings. Whenever you have a question there is no way of looking it up. You have to fill in a support form and then you can not hit reply if you don't understand the answer. You have to fill in the support form again. For example I can not get my images to look clear in the carousel modes and if I knew the image size specs I could size my originals accordingly. There does not seem to be much information on the lightbox styles and their features, navigation, getting the image to fit the window, etc. The free version looked and worked great although with limitations, the pro version is very cantankerous!
I have the paid version of the plugin b/c I like the functions. It has worked on one site, but not the others. HTTPS is a problem. Multi-site is a problem.
This is conflicting with my theme X purchased from themeforest.
It gives error when you inspect element and almost broke my website.
I have set up a simple gallery display of videos and still images for a high school film festival site. I find that the gallery and light-box works OK for most "common" JPG/PNG or MP4 files, but there seems to a number of problem cases. It seems if the images are greater than 2000 pixels on a side or 10 inches, the display does not work. On video, there seem to be some versions of MP4 output that will not display video but will output audio - playing the same file thru the media library works properly.
In addition the plug-in won't do any automatic sorting of the galleries - it's all manual.
One other negative is that the still display size is determined by the settings - it will not re-size if the image is larger than the screen.
But I have made it work, it's just not a very robust and complete program. However it is one of the few that does both still images and local video support.
My worst complaint however is that there seems to be absolutely no technical support. I have sent in 3 requests on the above issues and have not gotten one response! I might be able to live with the above issues but with the their state of support I am looking elsewhere.
Too much PRO version upgrade promotion
I bought the plugin, cause it was exactly the galery style i wanted to have.
After installing it, i noticed a poor performance while uploading and editing files.
then i had the overkill error: i couldnt insert shortcodes in posts or pages, so the plugin was useless.
I wrote in the support forum, but there wasn't an answer for weeks. not even a short "we work on it" message...
The solution was this (found it out myself after long trying...):
The plugin is NOT compatible with the MP6 plugin which changes the backend view.
After deactivating it, the easy galery plugin works.
Still a bit poor performance, but i can insert the galeries.
