Dynamically adds multiple featured image (post thumbnail) functionality to posts, pages and custom post types.
Grate help full plugin, gives much flexibility than standard featured image. Many thanks.
Thanks Ankit for this plugin and for providing personalized support for my project. A donation is on the way to support this plugin.
Exactly what I wanted and expected.
I use the following code to choose a random featured image,
<?php $featured_images = $dynamic_featured_image->get_featured_images(); $random_key = array_rand($featured_images); $chosen_image = $featured_images[$random_key]['full']; ?>
1. Author has not updated this page, http://ankitpokhrel.com.np/blog/sliding-featured-image-thumbnails-in-your-wordpress-theme/, noting that dfi_get_featured_images is no longer used. Many hours spent needlessly trying to get this working. See here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/dfi_get_featured_images-not-working. This lack of attention to detail makes me wonder whether to continue using this. 2. Once I got it working, the "featured image," built into the 2010-2014 themes as roughly 1000px wide images, are pulled in as 150px images. Still fixing this. 3. The name is not very accurate. "Dynamic" implies motion. It would be better named "Multiple featured images that require a slider to implement."
Excellent plugin,,, the one which i was desperately looking for. Good Job. Bro, im gonna buy u a beer. Cheers mate!
Doesn't work for me when Retrieving data in a theme in a post loop
Doesn't work for me when Retrieving data in a theme
Installs but doesn't work
The plugin installs but when updating the page with multiple featured pictures makes all additional ones disappear.
If someone know of a plugin that works, please inform :)
This plugin is pretty awesome, but I just have one request: can you change the default featured image styles to match yours? Or vice-versa, whichever is easier.
The missing plugin for many years but today I found it! Thank you so much!
