Update Forced New Design onto Our Site
By , for WP 4.4.2

The plugin had an update and FORCED this new look on us and we had to explain this to our users which was embarrassing. The old design was colorful, easy to understand and see. You can't see anything now, it's too light. We absolutely hate the new design and it deleted the sidebar from the page. We have used this on our social network with success and now it's gone from love to hate. I wonder what surprises will be forced on us in the future. We are now in the complicated process of fazing it out. WAS PERFECT. NOW AVOID.

Problems in basic functionality
By ,

Doesn't work on Amazon Linux AMI release 2014.03 with php55-5.5.14-1.75.amzn1.x86_64.

Installation process went well, without any issues. The plugin seems to work fine when I'm logged in.

However for anonymous user it shows neither a list of questions (https://www.dropbox.com/s/5mh1c9otfun5et3/Screenshot%202014-07-27%2013.31.38.png?dl=0) nor categories (https://www.dropbox.com/s/k96sw31tyiggbjs/Screenshot%202014-07-27%2013.32.01.png?dl=0)

Took my website down twice.

DWQA works well in isolation and I like its functionality, but it doesn't play nicely with other plugins which use ReCaptcha. Instead of warning of a conflict, it took my site down (front- and back-end) as soon as it was activated. After I informed Design Wall of this, they explained how to delete a couple of lines in their scripts to work around the conflict. "What hapens when I upgrade?" I asked. No reply so far but I found out when I upgraded DWQA today. My test site went down with a fatal error. Fortunately I run a duplicate site for testing, but I've removed DWQA from my live site as a precaution against other admins attempting to upgrade.
I don't think it's reasonable to expect customers to use Cpanel to bring their websites back up after installing a plugin, and other vendors manage to detect similar errors.
