Diverse Solutions isn’t currently taking on new customers as we assess our customers’ technology needs. When we have more information available, we’ll be happy to reach out to you again. We appreciate your interest in our products and hope you have a great day.
You may want to try iHomeland for your IDX needs.
Ok, I hate Zillow and don't want to have anything to do with them. That being said, I still decided to get the Diverse Solutions plugin for my WordPress site. I have the PRO plan for $60/month.
Like others, I have a compatibility issue between my theme and the plugin. I went thru a web developer thru Fiverr.com to get this resolved for $20.
Overall, this is a very good plugin! SEO is great since there are no iframes. My main gripe would be a lack of customization on my website. I would like to change the look and some of the text of the search box. I know there are limited ways to do that with a professional's help, but it would be nice if everyday users like me had access to do that.
Unlike others, I have never had any customer service issues. It's always been great. Upon first getting the service, they were very good at walking me thru what I needed to do. They followed up with e-mail instructions to make it as painless as possible. I've also emailed them a few times with technical questions-they have always answered me back same day or next day.
The dsIDXpress product is great, if you know how to use it! It's a basic IDX with a few search limitations but all in all is great toward SEO. Unlike a lot of other vendors I've used in the past, dsIDXpress uses a dynamic display to display results when you search. They also don't use any sub domains to display listings on pages YOU create with the plugin. I think it's a great value at 29.95 a month if used properly and it meets your sites end goal. It's not geared for everyone but can be an incredibly useful tool especially at under 50 a month. I've used it on a handful of client websites when they want something simple and are just looking to get a simple search experience on the site without going the custom route. Knocked down a star for the lack of weekend support which would be great, but it's not a deal breaker for me at the end of the day.
Im not sure why people are giving this plugin a bad review. The process of purchasing and adding to my website was fast and very easy. I recommend asking for Riley, Mike or Sean all very knowledgeable and friendly and they can let you know if the mls you are working with has any extra fees or strange display requirements. This was super helpful while building out the site and eliminating extra work during the build out. From a SEO perspective alone... this thing ROCKS its only been up for a couple of weeks now and has a few hundred pages indexed. Thanks for making adding mls listing to our new site so easy!
This plugin got stuck on 2012, their whole documentation and product is outdated after having been sold to Zillow
Their new update was a worthless CRM called Envoy which looks nice but doesn't have anywhere near close the features of FREE CRMs out there
They don't support SSL, so if you plan to have SSL on your site this plugin will not work.
It also doesn't play nice with other plugins/themes, and their solution is to to turn off the other plugin/theme, instead of realizing they need to fix their product.
I suggest you take a look at IDX Broker or iHomefinder
You can provide the ope houses link in the trial version.?
Simply trying to purchase this product has been a hassle. Three calls to the company to give them money. But today when I asked questions about their company I was met with disrespect. Poor sales support is one thing but getting disrespected during sales is a sure sign to move on. Was also told, "do whatcha do" when I said I would have to look a little more closely at the reviews.
Shaun must be really effective at blocking sales and recurring revenue for the company. If you're going to sell a plugin, consider having a way for people to buy the plugin online.
After a week of trying, it's actually a relief that I don't have to beg to pay Diverse Solutions for anything. We'll be using anything other than this plugin for our MLS IDX integration. $360 a year x 7 sites.
I wanted provide a warning about this plugin. A client I have has been working with has used this plugin for years. As stated in other reviews, since being acquired by Zillow.com, the plugin updates have "not played nice with others". Using a theme designed specifically for this plugin, the dsIDXpress plugin stopped working after the last update. Diverse solution suggested we deactivate all plugins and switch to Twenty Sixteen,... then the plugin worked.
The following is from their support: "Previously you stated that you activated the default Twenty Sixteen WordPress theme with our plugin and now our plugin is working. The default theme is a good indication that the issue is related to the theme and not the plugin. In your previous email you indicated that the THEME is designed to work with IDX Press. In this case when the theme is in the same environment as the plugin, the plugin does not work as the theme indicated. You will want to reach out to the THEME developer to have them take a look into this issue."
"Unfortunately, we are not the theme developers and are unable to support all of the themes out there. I can send this up on our side however, please do keep in mind that this issue will not be a priority due to the issue not being related to our plugin." -- Diverse Solutions Support
i had every intention of purchasing this plugin - but unfortunately their support reps and docs are lackluster at best and they DON'T SUPPORT COLORADO - which they DO NOT ADVERTISE ANYWHERE ON THEIR SITE.
do yourself a favor and stay away.
Ive used this plugin for at least 3 years with various clients and it had some hiccups with generated urls for SEO. There were other issues for sure, but overall they fixed them and the plugin is actually really solid and wasn't that hard to customize. Time to give these guys credit they have been around a while.
We did both WordPress posts for properties and IDX feed on one site and you can see the difference. The posts one looks better to me, but it obviously was much much more effort.
If you want a out of the box solution, very little work, minimal customization but stable, its a great fit.
