AVOID Disqus
By ,

Disqus was great for a while. Now I am having problems and they seems impossible to resolve. Perusing their site looking for help, I see they call themselves the Admin "Gods", they have standard cookie cut responses for everything and ZERO contact numbers.

I feel like my account was hacked by goofy hipsters, playing "Admin God" with my blogs. EVERY single post in my account going back more than a year, was marked as spam. I know that didn't happen from the actual site, it wasn't there before, and I can't fix it. I can't post a question on the support page, because Disqus has blocked me. I have NEVER posted on Disqus before.

No bueno

No longer functional

No longer functional with 4.1. I've had to go back to WordPress's commenting system because if I activate Disqus, all I see is "comments are closed." A major disappointment because I've used Disqus literally for years.

Stop working
By , for WP 4.1

I first notice having problems with disqus 8 days ago. It said:
Comments for this thread are now closed.
So, I change the expire comments time to 365 days and still kept receiving the closed thread. Then I couldn't even login to comments on my site. It would just reload the page when, I clicked on comments for a post. I contacted disqus support the very first day I noticed the problem 8 days ago. They ask for a lot of information. Since, I'm new to all the tech stuff I gave them access to my site. I sent them my login page. My username and password. All I received back was automated messages asking me if the problem is fixed. I realize this is a free plugin so, I guess I should of expected poor support.

Silence instead of support
By , for WP 3.9.1

My disqus comments has been hit by a virus posting comments that reappear after being deleted. I've re-installed from back-ups but the same problem still exists.

My site was up-to-date and security measures in place so I don't know how this malware could have been introduced or how to clear it. My support requests have been ignored, maybe they monitor reviews?

Does not integrate with other logins. Does not work on multisites.
By ,

I just installed this plugin on a new multisite. Some problems which made it unusable for me:

1. It only shows up on the main site.

2. Is there an options page? I think there should be, but I can't find it on the multisite.

3. If a user is already logged in (which may be common on a multisite) then the user still have to log in through disqus too.

Be aware!! Does not fix it all!
By , for WP 3.8.1

If you are downloading this to get rid of spammy comments on your page - be aware - it will delete them on the front and but not the back end! Meaning the comments will still remain in your html coding and you will have to delete them manually somehow!

Doesn't work
By , for WP 3.7.1

Installed on fresh WP 3.71 and I use theme Twenty Twelve
I have enabled disqus plugin, added application keys..

But disqus comment form IS NOT SHOWING UP!

I don't know what to do..

why two logins required?
By , for WP 3.6.1

Just realised that you need to login via the social account and then register an account with Disqus before your comment will go through. Might as well as people for their credit card number before they comment too.
Uninstalled.
