Works like a charm.
By , for WP 4.5.3

Added the ability to display any file present in the plugin's directory on top of the Custom message and Custom HTML options. If you want me to share this, I'd be happy to.

Easy and effective plug in!

I recommend this plug in to anyone needing to update a site or to show new clients a mock up site before going live. I have used it to temporarily turn off a client's site to get them to pay for edits, hosting, etc. It is simple to use an set up!

Works Perfectly

Does exactly what it is supposed to. Can be installed and implemented in less than one minute.

No frills, does just what I need!

Simple to use, easy to configure, just what I need until my site goes live! :)

Works perfefctly

It does what is supposed to do. Simple with options for custom html message and giving the ability for certain groups or even IPs to bypass it.

Perfect for my staging needs!

This was just was I was looking for!

On some sites I use a subdirectory as dev/testing site and even though it's unlikely somebody finds it this plugin makes it much safer to keep the test instance for longer time! I do check "Discourage search engines from indexing this site" but when creating a new test instance it's easy to forget that and with this plugin in place the searchbots will not fetch any duplicate content for my main site and make a mess of my SEO.

Thanks for this!!!

Great, simple plugin with IP exception
