Given the preponderance of MySQL-backed transient storage installations, this or something like it really should be part of Codex.
Now and then, I run across a plugin that is simple, well-designed and fills a need painlessly and efficiently. Delete Expired Transients is just such a plugin.
I have a client whose site uses the Diverse Solutions dsIDXPress plugin, which was bloating the options table in the database with thousands of records containing expired transients. Delete Expired Transients cleaned out the options table and keeps it cleaned out.
Thanks for a great plugin!
and works great in multisite! thanks for a useful plugin.
(small possible improvement: the "delete site transients" link above the grid is a bit confusing to me - not sure what it deletes. i always need to go into the grid or use bulk actions to delete from all sites)
I am using a plugin that uses transients but the expiry feature in that plugin is not very efficient and keep the data in the cache.
This plugin really made me life a lot easier.
Thanks a lot
Works just how I like it: it's easy and does what it says it does!
Muy bien funcionamiento y aligera la carga de mi db
On 6.2 RC2
I was getting very large backup files. This has sorted things out and I've cut 12MB off my backup.
The daily schedule is spot on, I missed that in the documentation
