CCF is the broken plugin
Please don't release bad updates with an automatic error message that blames the pre-existing site settings without a notification of incompatibility with the new software release.
A release warning would have been nice.
The plugin had the shortcode ref changed (now ccf_form, was customform).
Also no ability to set a title when creating a new form, nor edit existing forms' titles.
I'm sure a lot of improvements were made, but the absence of care for back compatibility gets two stars rating.
I have added this plugin to all the websites that I have made and have been extremely happy. Unfortunately the big updates have ruined it. I have number of people calling me that the form submissions are not coming through, the captcha disappeared, and the entire user interface is a lot worse compared to the previous. I am sure there was a good plan behind the updates, but things clearly went wrong. Too bad, I have to move to another plugin for the contact form.
Update: This plugin used to be the best, but now is going through some changes that, without warning, destroy your old forms.
DO NOT UPGRADE until Taylor fixes some of the Beta style issues that should have been tested BEFORE release.
I do believe Taylor will get this in order, just not anytime soon.
Taylor: Why not just give us some layout and styling options for the older version? That would have put your competition in the dust! I would have paid for that functionality.
PROS: This plugin while initially confusing has some very powerful tools for form building at your disposal. After you get the hang of it building engaging forms is a snap.
CONS: Lack of documentation and example code often leads new users to think the plugin is overly complex. So -1 star.
CONCLUSION: Spending a few minutes to get used to the style of form building pays off immediately! Makes Contact Form 7 look generic and a coding nightmare for untrained users.
This plugin was once perfect.
I recently updated (a great mistake) and have lost the elegant appearance the contact form once presented to customers. The font changes to red when you are editing the form, which looks appalling - I can't see where to change this. The layout is different on the website and email – unnecessary spacing that now takes up four times the space. Lastly, the contact form used to prompt customers what to enter into he fields when the field was selected. This feature has also disappeared.
I would understand if the downgrade of the freeware was to make customers upgrade to the pro version, but there is no option to upgrade to obtain the features that were once standard.
Very disappointed with the changes.
[Plugin: Custom Contact Forms] when I creating a Style sends me to 404 page.
just ok - no multiple file uploads, had issues initially getting it to work properly...
