No more SPAM by spiders scanning you site for email adresses. With CryptX you can hide all your email adresses, with and without a mailto-link, by con
UPDATE 7th JUNE 2015: I've had an increase in spam emails, so am looking for another plugin. For some reason this one is no longer working and I've not been able to troubleshoot the issue.
Easy to install, and it works. I did have to review some of the support comments here to see what to do.
Since I have an email address in the footer of my custom theme, I just copied the scrambled code and entered it there, works just fine. I guess I could have edited the code, but didn't want to go there.
Hoping this will reduce spambots.
I've been using this for years, but for some reason just never wrote a review until now. This is such an essential plugin, especially when building sites for clients, that I use it on every active WordPress install that I manage.
With a quick setup it works in the background with no further action necessary - just gets out of your way and does its thing brilliantly.
Works great, thank you!
A very useful plugin, that you must have.
Works fine, no issues so far, very helpful. Added to my favorites.
Thank you 4 doing a greadt job!
No bugs, works fine. It is important, that scan for all the email addresses, not only mailto links as many other similar plugins.
Thanks for providing such an easy plugin!
Works and is kept alive by it's auther for a long time now. Thanks for that!
After much trial-and-error, I have gotten Cryptx to work...mostly. Fine with or without mailto, but getting it to do the job properly is a matter of guessing over and over how to use it because...there's NO DOCUMENTATION. Apparently it won't work with multiple email addresses, cc/bcc, subject, etc. The plug-in site is auf Deutsch; my German is shaky, but it doesn't matter because ... THERE'S NO DOCUMENTATION. By the way, in case I didn't mention it, THERE'S NO DOCUMENTATION. In other words, you're on your own.
Also, if you're using RawHTML Pro, you have to bracket email addresses with [/raw] and [raw] to get CryptX to work.
Not ready for prime time any more than the abominable WP editor.
