With CP Contact Form with Paypal you can insert a contact form into a WordPress website and connect it to a PayPal payment.
I was using the basic free version without paypal for a simple contact form. After the latest update, paypal is forced ON. Since I'm not using paypal on this site, an error messaqe is generated on form submit. It now tells me I can turn paypal off if I buy the pro version. As captain hook would say "Bad Form Peter." Literally.
I purchased the pro version of this plugin for $49.99, however yesterday my WordPress installation prompted me to install an update for the plugin and the update removed all the paid features.
If your business model is to ask for payment every time you update this plugin, please communicate this clearly before and during the upgrade process. It broke all the forms on my site and I received multiple complaints from clients.
If you do charge for each upgrade then this plugin is going to work out way more expensive than the $49.99 advertised. It's not good practice to leave plugins outdated on your site for security reasons.
I'll go back to Gravity forms, it's bigger than I need but they have great communications and customer care.
You don't have even the basic functionality unless you pay for the pro version. Can't change the fields unless I pay 50$?
I would actually make it 0 stars review - but there is no option to do that. So here you go - well deserved 1 star review for black marketing.
I know they mention it somewhere deep down on their own website that the free version only has a bare bones USELESS example form and all else is disabled, but not many find this info and download this totally useless plugin - and watse their time with it.
Leave this thing alone, just to send a message to all these teaser ware ideologists so they finally get the message that this ain't working for no one!!
Unless you want to upgrade to the pro version this plugin is essentially useless. You can't even edit the form's fields without upgrading, which is the most basic of functions.
I am not sure what's the whole point of this plugin when all you're trying to do is sell me the pro version. If that's what you want, then submit the plugin as a premium paid plugin.
I was happily changing settings but bumped into the form builder section where it doesn't allow me to change any text on it. WTH ? Which form builder doesn't allow changes and you're forcing $50 down my throat just for the ability to change text and add lines.
Previously a review says this being crippled and misleading, your screenshot shows things that aren't available for free. The form builder is not editable so why even show it? And also the shot with coupon code.
In fact i was so disappointed and mad, that i would create 100 accounts just to flag this 1 star.
I'm happy to pay when I know what's in the box. This plugin boasts features which aren't there. I can get this crippled plugin's features anywhere for free. Sorry.
Since is not possible to test anything due to impossibility to use sandbox paypal in free download i can't how this plugin works.
I've try putting sandbox manually in the plugin cp_contactformpp.php but the system do not change the status from not paid to paid.
...because it's all you're getting for free.
I'd like to point out that using the excuse "we didn't explicitly state this plugin does that" is not acceptable; It's natural to assume that any form plugin will include the ability to edit the form. You should explicitly state that this plugin doesn't allow you to customize the form for free so that people like me don't have to waste their time with this plugin and form a negative disposition towards your organization.
Also, the alert "* Note: The Form Builder is read-only in this version." doesn't tell me that you want me that I have to pay for this feature, it tells me I have a permissions issue on my server.
Don't waste your time, this plugin is a shameless attempt at selling a garbage product. You can't even change the form header without prompting you to shell out $50. Absolute waste of time. These are the kind of plugins that should be pulled from WP.
