Styling is a pain - only basic functions included
By ,

It works great without any workaround with given tags. But as soon you need some extra, you are running just into coding on different places. For this i get much better plugins, while here is just something every plugin gives anyway for granted.
Tags does not work for me, so if there is a problem with different Themes, this plugin does not a good job.
Anyway wordpress is getting time consuming with updates and updgrades all day, because of third party plugins, not to mention security issues...

no message filtering supports spam
By , for WP 4.2.2

excellent concept but does not have the filtering capacity that any basic programmer can built in. We've had to customize our version to protect our clients from spammers. There is no method for filtering by IP, email or bad keywords - and askimet is a $$ joke. So if you install CF7 any spammer can easily send you or your client a solicitation or harassing message and you will be virtually unable to stop them.

Attachment option doesn't work
By , for WP 4.2.1

The support section has multiple posts about it not working and very few replies. Troubleshooting does seem to work either.

don't understand how it works

Better to plugin self created the page for contact info, I like to see maps!!!
A long time could not understand the creation of the page contact.

Not all it's cracked up to be
By , for WP 4.1.1

I installed this plugin because it got very high ratings. Boy was I disappointed.

My biggest complaint about this plugin is that once you created a field, there's no way to edit it. You have to create it again and with your minor corrections.

It looks robust at first, but the end user is left with a lot of experimentation to figure it out. And no, the documentation did not help. I found it basically useless.

With all the drag and drop functionality that's out there, this plugin seems a little archaic.

Sorry to be so negative, but I really don't understand why this got such high ratings.

Loses Function after updates
By ,

I used contact form 7 for quite a while. But everytime the plugin or wordpress updated, I had to perform a check of all my associated forms, because there have been a lot of issues with the wordpress sendmail component. It wasn't adressed correctly, so I lost a lot of contact emails. I can't rely on this plugin anymore, also it has a lot of functions

Worked great, but CAPTCHA does not work
By , for WP 4.0

Used to worked fine, but CAPTCHA does not work for a long time. No support from developers on this. I switched to Fast Secure Contact Form which is more simple, easy and works!

Works on some of my sites, but not everywhere :(

I have disabled Super Cache plugin, but still arrows spin forever..

Causes spam problems for me
By , for WP 3.8.1

I tried to use it in 3 different projects and every single time it got me problems with spambot. Recaptcha was enabled and somehow it wasn't enough and I had huge problems dealing with bots sending thousands of emails from my domain every single day.
I switched to another solution, and spambot problem disappeared.

However, I appreciate all the configuration possibilities etc. Great work there!
