Need to make sure your mail-tags all match exactly or else it stops working
By , for WP 4.2.2

I was having serious troubles getting one of my contact forms to work and found one slight error I had made: a mismatch between a mail-tag in the Form tab (of the editing section) and the mail-tag in the Mail tab (of the editing section). I found that if there is any mismatch between the mail-tags in the two tabs, the email simply disappears into the void. It will give you a "Sent successfully" message, but it never makes it to the recipient's inbox.

Excellent form plugin with great configurations.

This plugin is great for developers who really like control over the front-end code created around the form. The tag-based configuration/form creation is super nice. This may not be the best plugin for non-tech-savvy users who want to be able to create their own forms (i.e. drag and drop interface).

Great, but a couple of minor quibbles
By ,

Great work. A couple of minor points, though -

- it's difficult to style - it would be nice if you gave us low-level access instead of just shortcodes

- I gave up on Simple Captcha, mainly because of the styling issue. The png files have white backgrounds, for example. I managed to get WordPress ReCaptcha Integration running in a few minutes, and it works well.

Really simple

A simple contact form, easy to set up!
The antispam part can be improve, no captcha but you can add yourself several questions to avoid spam (Example : the first letter of WordPress is ?)
Some updates for the past 2 years, i think it's secure !
Thank's for your work !

How to make contact form 7 wider and how to change the location of the quiz #s
By , for WP 4.2.1

I have name, email, phone, subject, message, and quiz spaces. How can I make all of them look wider? Not sure how many px I would need to do what I want, but the code itself would be of great help.

Also, is there a way I can change the number location and put it on top of the area you type in?

Fine Plugin

Have used it on several sites and nothing to complain about really

Relatively straight forward.

Simple and easy to use

Great plugin and I use it all the time. Could use more features.

most popular contact form plugin
By , for WP 4.1.1

the most popular contact form plugin for WordPress. It features AJAX submission, built-in CAPTCHA, Akismet spam filtering, and file upload capabilities. The plugin is completely free and can be easily customized using simple HTML.
Very nice

Great but not perfect

The set up is so simple in comparison to others - other plugins have gone OTT with their form creation tools and features, this is nice and simple. Since all I wanted was a simple contact form, I was glad not to have to go through all the fluff that the other plugins made me go through. I can't see this being easy to set up for many (if any) of my clients, the backend would confuse them, but for me, it was exactly what I was looking for. No fancy flashy drag and drop, click here, click there, just, nice simple codes. And my clients will never need to go back into the contact form plugin to change anything anyway.

This plugin adds its styles correctly! BONUS POINTS. Which means I was able to use wp_dequeue_style in order to remove the stylesheets it added in order to completely take control of the form styling without having to battle with another stylesheet.

However, the HTML it output seems mad. For starters, why are all the form elements wrapped in a paragraph tag? Secondly, why is there a line break between each input field, anything this achieves can be achieved through styling and keeps more control in the hands of us designers. And a few other things. Would be nice if this was cleaned up a bit.

Would also be great if we could control the html that it outputs.

I have got some concerns about the fact that there are several reports of contact form 7 having a security problem that allowed hackers access to the website, so will be keeping an eye on that, and will definitely put this down to 1 star if I experience any problems with that.

Great plugin

Great plugin, but there is a small (or large) flaw - it is impossible to change the name of the form after duplication.
