Works great for me, thanks for this.
Works well ! Should get more functionalities, but really nice plugin, which add very useful dynamics actions !!! <3
It's very very useful!
But detailed implementation instructions could realy help.
Hi, Your plugin is very good. It showing my dynamic tour name in form field perfectly (http://rajasthanways.com/tour/exotic-kerala-tour/)
My Form Code is here:
[dynamictext tourpkg uneditable "CF7_GET key='tourname'"].
But When I am using shortcode in mail for tour package name
[tourpkg] , it is showing blank in my email.
What I do?
Works like a ton of bricks, this is the missing piece to contact form 7. a must have!
Just what I needed
I have a url built like this : http://www.domain.com?clicked=menu to enable me to track where users clicked.
Here's what i used as a hidden field:
[dynamichidden o-clicked "CF7_GET key='clicked'"]
Hope that helps someone
Having a problem or a general question about the plugin?
You're out of luck.
Been trying to get an answer for 3 weeks now. No response at all.
Wouldn't recommend using this plugin.
I have a form that could either be accessed directly by the user or through a link in our application. If it was accessed through the application, it would also supply the registration ID to the form. The problem was how to dynamically fill in the registration ID field. This plugin solved the problem. I did have to add a small enhancement and that was the desire to have the field be read-only if a value was supplied by the application and writeable if the field was blank. It was very easy to modify for our purposes and required a slight rework upgrading the plugin from 1.2 to 2.0.
Firstly: thanks for programming this plugin.
I'm using it on a page with events where we needed a form per event for registration.
Each of the events comes from event organiser (WP plugin) in an overview and each of them has it's own registration form (on one page, so: yes that's possible).
With the dynamic text extension we achieved to generated only 1 CF7-form which is attached in the theme through do_shortcode() several times on the same page with dynamic content.
It reads the date and title of the event dynamically and sends it through the form.
Works like a charme, BUT...
Firstly it didn't work really: in the most actual CF7 version, all fields are managed through a popup and the popup was blank when we clicked on the dynamic text field buttons.
Researching brought us to a simple tweak.
So simple the tweak so un-understandable is the fact, that the plugin author can't manage to update the plugin.
Normally the plugin would get 5 stars, but because of this, it gets only 3 from us.
Everybody interested in the tweak to get the plugin working with most actual CF7-version:
- Open the plugin file (wp-contents/plugins/contact-form-7-dynamic-text-extension/contact-form-7-dynamic-text-extension.php) in a text editor
- delete every occurence of 'class="hidden"' (should be 2 times)
- replace the original file with the edited one
