I've used this PI before but never fully appreciated it's capabilities until I used it on my current project. It gives granular control over widgets to affect which page(s) and post(s) they appear.
If you encounter a situation as I did where a social media PI wouldn't stop displaying on the primary sidebar, just register a new sidebar in functions.php, and select the newly registered sidebar on a page/post template. Then you can use new widgets in the newly registered sidebar and control their display using this PI.
Highly recommended. I plan to use this PI on future projects.
i must say am very much excited about this plugin..it actually works perfect..exactly what i needed..
Nice plugin, allows excellent widget display control.
Exactly what I needed. Thanks :)
I'm using this widget for quite a while already and it's simply excellent. With version 2.2 I can even hide widgets on mobile or desktop, according to my needs. Great work!
Wow! Now you can even hide specific widgets on mobile devices or desktops. I needed exactly that. Thank you!
Overall, this plugin is massively useful.
Essential extension to manage multiple Widget in the sidebars.
Love the per-page functionality that this plugin allows.
I tried a slew of other plugins that used category shortcodes for static pages, or incomplete solutions that left the category link pulling the default sidebar. None worked with WP built in categories just right, and we wanted a menu link to a category as well.
This did just exactly what we wanted. I created category-specific widgets and had them appear only on the specific category. Was able to hide others from that category as well. Wish I had found it sooner after wasting hours with others.
Simple and straight forward, just like a plugin should be.
No other "conditional" type plugin we've encountered gives us such granular control, and we've tested them all over the years. Not only are support issues few and far between, but when they do exist, they are answered promptly. HIGHLY recommended - and you should go donate to the author too!.
