I've used this plugin for a while now and never had any problem, even afte WordPress updates.
I can see the columns I want with pages/posts listing. Just to say something, it would be nice to be able to sort by those columns.
I find myself using this plugin on most new sites I develop. As a developer, I can easily write this functionality into my themes and plugins, but why bother? Having a tool to let you manage which columns are displayed can make it much easier to see what's going on with your posts.
The functionality works as advertised, and it's especially useful for user information and custom fields - but beware! If you also use Advanced Custom Fields to manage your fields, this plugin will disable them unless you pay.
As a premium plugin, this gets 5 stars.
I really like it.
The integration with ACF PRO could be better because some field types can't be edited but the plugin is really useful. Keep the good work!
This plugin is pretty awesome as it is; the only thing I'd change would be to somehow make the "UPDATE" button more prominent, maybe by moving it (or adding another instance of it) lower down in the configuration area. In its present location it goes out of view when I scroll down my list of columns, and I keep forgetting to go back up and save what I've done.
Anyway, it's totally easy to use, and makes the WP admin experience so much better!! I love that each type of content (page/post/event/product/whatever) can have its own selection and arrangement of columns, according to what's appropriate for that type.
Love this plugin - I would love to give it 5 stars, but I feel that half the benefit of being able to add additional columns to the admin is to be able to search that data as well. Everything else is great
Works with 4.4.2
Admin Columns Pro has some really cool features. Just being able to add additional columns to admin overview pages is pretty cool in itself, but the Pro version also allows you to add sorting, filtering and inline editing. These are great features. If you build WordPress sites for hire, these are features your clients will really love (and probably ask for).
I submitted a few questions, both directly to the developer team and on the public forums. In both cases, I got good responses within a day.
Overall, a pretty useful plugin. As long as you are aware of the minor limitations, I would strongly recommend it.
I've been using the free version and it works as stated. Thanks!
Would be more useful if the free version could sort on column headings. Instead, have to resort to an additional plugin to sort on "last modified date".
It is early days yet but so far no conflict or problems. I have also not put the plugin through its paces but I am optimistic that I will replace the four stars with five after awhile.
