The plugin is very useful especially if you have a lot of pages and you need hierarchy. Achieving this via the WP built-in pages administration would drive you crazy.
I found this plugin a few years ago while trying to manage a site with many page. I now systematically install it on every new project.
The plugin is running fine on WPMU, no problem so far.
Just some thought, should you:
Add support for parallel page tree, for multi language pages, multiple target device, series of product page, or periodic pages.
Promoting random / specific pages on widgets and social media.
Creating mega menu from pages with options.
Marking page as draft while still in the tree.
Timer / schedule to launch a page.
Create page themes and allow setting theme of pages on tree view.
Create pages from spreadsheets.
Archive/export, delete, and restore/import a tree branch.
Auto generating users page, with option to gather public info from social media.
Some people might buy premium. :-D
Love this plug-in. So helpful when organizing and accessing pages.
This fucntionality really should be in the core of WP, it makes life so much easier when managing a site with multiple pages and sub-pages - being able to navigate it as a tree rather than a flat list over many pages makes it much easier to see what's going on, and much quicker to navigate to specific pages.
The plugin is very well impemented, unobtrusive, and Just Works.
This is just a feature which should be available in all sites with a page tree structure
This is my MUST-INSTALL plugin for every site. Great time saver.
Thanks for the great work!
I really like the ability to visualize your pages as a tree and add/modify them on the fly.
I'm especially fond of the drag and drop reordering of pages but this feature is rather buggy for the moment : many times when I try to insert a page between two existing subpages of a hierarchy, it cannot seem to "find" the actual target of the drop action (the parent), even if there is a green tick saying it can. As a result the page does not move, even after several attempts. I have to resort to dropping it right on the parent page (in the wrong order) and then ordering it to find the good position.
Please fix it and I give my 5 stars !
I've got to make a review of my website before launch.
What could be better than a one-page checklist to go page by page and test every bit of it? Doing that with the standard WordPress Pages view is confusing when you manage 50+ pages per language.
And by the way, the green 'Private' label on the tree is brilliant.
The plugin is just practical. Thank you guys.
Cheers from London,
Works In page and all Custom Post Type.
But sometime, if you have a lot of content and subpage, the order can change without reason.
I think with less option, Simple Page Ordering is more stable.
