I use both CoSchedule and Click To Tweet on my blog and I love CoScheudle. I really like Click To Tweet but I wish I could fit more words in each tweet.
Is there a way to integrate a link shortening API with Click TO Tweet so that it automatically shortens the URL the tweet is coming from?
Either way you guys make a really solid editorial calendar and I can't get enough of the CoSchedule blog.
I would recommend using both of these WordPress tools.
Quick install and all you need to do is navigate to the tutorial for a 3 step explanation of how to use the plugin (it's very simple).
Once you create a new post or update an old one there is a new tab with the twitter bird logo. Click on the tab and enter a tweet message with #'s
Next option is to choose a design and simply save the page.
The plugin displays a tweet box with your tweet message and encourages your visitors to retweet this includes the page url and your message.
Tested the plugin to see if it increased the page load time and it didn't effect it at all.
Nice little plugin looking forward to testing the pro version when it gets realest.
Advertising link with every tweet.
This plug puts a very prominent link on every box on your blog to the developer's site. An unsightly feature that can't be removed because there's no premium version. A true no-no.
Nice little tool to help people to tweet snippets from within your content. Should be part of your inbound marketing tool set
This is a great plug-in that does only what it is supposed to. I didn't realize at first that it puts a tweet button in your post dashboard. You simple click this and add your tweet message. The plug-in makes the box. It is as simple as it gets, truly plug n play.
I have already found that people are using it more than the plain text click to tweet. If you want you can add your Twitter handle.
The only thing that would make it better as others have said is for it to have it's own link shortener or for it to use WordPress' shortener as an option. If your title is longer this limits your message length. Best to count letters with your title or test the box before publishing your post.
Works perfectly! I've used it on a few posts and love it - definitely increases sharing to twitter & generates traffic back to the post/blog! Thanks!
I second the request for link shortener.
For those who make use of Twitter regularly, this is a great plugin to add your blog quotes to the Twitter conversation.
This is a very simple plugin that doesn't muck about with your WordPress install. It makes a simple, tasteful tweetable quote box that breaks up your post visually for your reader, and makes it easy to share your post with a message you tailor. I used it with a viral blog post. It helped spread the message.
