I found this plugin via a Google search. I had just moved my website to a different hosting environment. I noticed I wasn't getting messages from WordPress. The post I found online suggested to use this plugin. It's a simple plugin that worked great. I was able to determine the issue is on my other hosting account. I sent a test email to my Gmail account and received it instantly. that told me that my WordPress installation was sending out mail just fine.
Handy little plugin. Very effective at testing email connection b/n live ('production') site and email/webmail account. Please note: I was not able to ping a target email account from a local development site (running XAMPP stack on DesktopServer v3.8). I'm basing my statement on limited data (1 dev site, 1 target email account). Maybe the developer knows something about the PI I don't.
Just complex enough to do what I need, small / simple enough not to get in the way.
Quick and easy, and works. Not sure how it does for troubleshooting as I have not treid it and had mail fail—I hope it gives sufficient failure messages if it fails but I don't know.
It fixed my mail issue with wordpress site. Now I am able to receive emails from WordPress (my site). Fixed wp_mail() function.
Says what does and does what it says. Nice work.
Works great. Thanks!
