Very good plugin but as Donna McMaster said, using WP attachment ID instead of URL would be a great enhancement.
Nice documentation and works perfectly as long you know where to put the php (single.php in WP 2011 theme) and how to style your output, (in style.css) or child theme equivalents
This is an easy plugin to use and does a nice job of configuring and displaying an image. However, the author has chosen to save an image URL instead of a WordPress image ID. The downside of this is that I cannot pick up alt or title text for the image. Without alt text, the resulting page is not compliant with accessibility guidelines. I can add some generic alt, like the category name, but that doesn't tell people what is in the image. I would love to see an option to pick up the image ID instead. Thank you!
Exactly what I needed this plugin to do. I only give it 4 stars instead of 5 because I hoped it would support "multiple" images per category record, but it only supports 1 image per category record.
Only thing I don't like is that it uses absolute URLs. If it used root-relative URLs The image links wouldn't break between our staging and live servers. They can be fixed though, you just need to tab into the form field instead of click on it, then remove the domain.
