I think this is the only plugin available in wordpress which allowing community site creation. Searched a lot but could not found any other. Is there any roadmap in future releases to implement e-commerce store using this plugin itself. don't want to use other plugins for store?
The plugin has very good features and I built a social networking site myself in one month.
This is a very Good plugin
Very useful plugin and easy to install and setup. Thank You
I found few more alternative of this plugin for community site, as its build with WP, I will go with it. Great features coming with 2.4 version. Love the group cover photo.
Great work devs.
I love this plugin!
Very good plugin. I like it and so to my clients. Easy set up.
BuddyPress is great for so many use cases. Many people just think of it as a FaceBook Clone. But that's so limited. If you understand the possibilities it blows your mind. It's interesting for every site interacting with users in any way.
It can be used for any kind of user generated content.
From a vendors marketplace to a community about kittens. Any kind of directory or user driven content related site.
Also BuddyPress is all about Groups. Use it as a learning system, Virtual ClassRoom or to build your next awesome Intranet.
It gives you all the tools to create an intranet with tools like DropBox, Messaging, Activity Streams and so much more. The limits are your ideas.
There is still a learning curve, but once you understand the components. You can do really serious stuff with BuddyPress.
In my opinion it's not about using all BuddyPress components to build the next Facebook. It's about using the components which make sense for you.
Huge Thanks to the the BuddyPress Crew. You are truly awesome.
I have a paid-for membership site and I want to add a forum to it. I want to limit access to the forum to the paid members of my membership site. That means that if you aren't a paid member at my membership site then you can not access the forum. It's okay if non-paying members can see the front page of the forum and the front page of any category page within the forum, but I don't want them to be able to read any of the threads on the forum.
Do you have any suggestions for how I can accomplish this? I'm using the DAP (Digital Access Pass) membership WP plugin on my membership site.
Very useful plugin and easy to install and setup. This is exactly what I need to build a group of social friends.
