Styling is impossible!
By , for WP 4.4.1

The style of this plugin is a source of real pain!!!

  • it messes up the profile/group select box style;
  • whatever custom css you may write down, it gets overwritten by some javascript;
  • it adds some inline style, but ONLY if you click on the profile/group select box;
  • the select box appears inside the div tag of the post button;

all of this makes it impossible to customize; so if you don't like the default style, you have to deactivate it.
This is a shame, because everything else works fine....

Dude, you are freakin awesome!

I also have 0 clue why this isn't in the core. Installed, activated, changed settings, voila! Worked without a hiccup for me and looks perfect with the Kleo BuddyPress theme from Themeforest. My only concerns are will this plugin continue to get updated and if not and something breaks during an update, what will happen to all the settings members set?

The CSS was a hassle.

It didn't automatically work for me. I had to edit the css and spent a bit of time on it.

It's an ok plugin considering there is no other like it around so 5 stars.

Great plugin who needs some more functions
By , for WP 4.0

This plugin is great. Perhaps it will be better if it can return a "no activty found" when a user have no returns due to his level accreditation.

Awesome Plugin

Works great. Allows admins to pick what options they want to allow users to choose, so you are able to disable public posts altogether if you choose to.

First thing: styling not perfect to say it mildly. Seems to do the its job except it IS NOT tranlatable in contrary as advertized. Included .mo files does not work.

Thank you...

It's a great idea your plugin!

It would be better if the activty stream or link would not be seen if I chose a function that is not public by default in your settings - possible?

Not a solution for friends-only activity feed
By , for WP 3.8.1

If you're looking for a solution for the common problem of trying to set up buddypress so the activity feed only includes friends and your own activities, this is NOT it. It lacks this functionality in two areas:

1) Privacy in that plugin is set when POSTING, not when VIEWING. That means that if some random person decides to post an update to everyone then I see it in my feed even if I am not friends with them.

2) It only works for select actions, such as posting an update. Things like changing profile picture or adding a new friend can not have their privacy changed with the plugin which means they will show up in everyone’s feed, friend or not. Not really very private...

Nice plugin

Awesome plugin. Adds extra value to my website!

Great plugin with TERRIBLE STYLING.

Great plugin with TERRIBLE STYLING. The scrolling was not solved from last updated version of the plugin using the js to adjust the height to 50px:
//fix the scroll problem
jq('#whats-new').on('focus', function(){
jq("form#whats-new-form textarea").animate({
It gets overridden

I tried a css workaround in my twentythirteen child theme(style.css):
#buddypress form#whats-new-form #whats-new-submit {
float: right;
margin-top: -1px;

But if you take into consideration a user with a mobile, then no chance:(((

Another issue It would be nice if you change the privacy name to match those used in Buddypress Xprofile Custom Fields Type plugin Nobody instaid of only me:)

Unfortunately i have to uninstall the plugin until you resolve the css scrolling problem.

Any body knows a good alternative!!!
