Best botnet protector
By , for WP 3.8.1

We have BruteProtect running on about 100 sites now on sites we've had botnet problems with, so far we seen far less attack hits.

Really awesome plugin. A must install.

Really awesome plugin. A must install. I at least "feel" much safer from the botnet attacks now and hope that I really am safer.

Works exactly like it says

Simple and it works

Started earning its keep immediately. Now if only there was an equivalent plugin for 404 'vulnerable string' attacks (that's a hint BruteProtect developers!).

had attacks on my wp-login, over 30K hits a month (with 1K hits a day, all different ips).

Once installed this great plug-in only I saw only bout 10 hits a day, since than only 30 attempts were blocked (I think that attacker did not even try to brute my site anymore because the plug-in blocked him)

Easy To Set Up and It Works!

I like this plugin. I'm using it as part of a three-part security system, since I can't find any security plugins that work properly. I've read too many horror stories about some of them, including one I was using for a while.

BruteProtect couldn't be simpler to set up. And it seems to be working. In just a few weeks, it's block over 50 attempts to hack into my site.

Easy to install and seems to work great!

This plugin seems like an answer to a prayer. It's easy to install and it seems to work great so far.

Must have

This thing works great just install add email get your key and you are done, the bruteforce attacks are coming in hard now since the botnet is growing by taking over larger more powerful servers and pcs.

21 stopped so far for me in 3 days I just moved hosting and had extra security scripts on old host.

This may be another option you want to implement no need for a plugin just ask your host to but a script up in your file directory for a popup captcha on wp-login.php

Also search thread of Hardening WordPress

Thanks for this plugin! Anyone not running this for extra protection is asking for a hack.

Highly encrypted passwords on every account you have email, wordpress etc is recommended, need to generate one just go to cpanel generate it from the mysql tab copy it save it then cancel the box quick method I always have used.

easy protection
