This plugin will check your posts, comments and other content for broken links and missing images, and notify you if any are found.
I installed this plugin just now and it knackered my site at http://www.eurocall-languages.org - the site just hangs completely, and I can't view it as an end-user or log in to disable the plugin. I'll have to FTP to the host and manually delete the plugin from the WP installation.
It may be that this plugin is reacting badly to one of the many plugins I have installed, or that it's running a link check on installation which hangs the site, but either way installation has led to the site being down for the best part of an hour, at inconvenience to our members and costing me time as the admin. It's back to Xenu for me.
Using this on a site with 5000+ links within the posts and it's excellent. Had to juggle scheduling, max. execution time and server load a little (you do need a decent server) but it scans once a week with no probs. No more Xenu for that site!
I used Xenu's for this work. Now I can edit the link directly and I received a email automatically. Good Work!
I've used this plugin on several of my sites and it works great.
One of the most useful plugins around!
Can be easily used in a heavy site with thousands of posts and links. Most plugins don't work well on those environments.
I install this plugin on every site I create. It saves time and makes for a better user experience as well as SEO.
I have been using this plugin for a WP blog that has many links to outside sites. I am extremely happy with the way it works. I don't see any slowdowns, I don't have any site problems, as some other people have talked about.
It does mark links in articles automatically, showing a strike-through. For my situation, I'm totally satisfied with how that works.
This tool works and keeps our web site from having tons of broken links, and makes fixing them pretty easy. No significant problems with it.
Totally disabled/broke our wp-admin.
It was not accessible until we renamed the plugins folder & then logged in & reactived each plugin required.
