This plugin will check your posts, comments and other content for broken links and missing images, and notify you if any are found.
Thank you for creating this plugin. It is working great on my webpage and it saves me a lot of time.
Even for small sites this is very valuable plugin! Google is seems more alert on broken links and this way you are SEO proof.
Good idea, but poorly implemented. It hits the CPU hard, makes the site very slow, which makes this plugin basically unusable.
I just installed the plugin...although I have known the plugin a few months back. Then, I forgot and simply go through manual and tedious way of checking broken links within my websites. Now, this looks automatic and I'll just simply check from time to time if there are broken links detected to double check.
Great job on this one... keep it up!
...and Thank You!
Been using this for a long time, had to post a review after seeing the new features in version 1.9!
Great plugin. Sniffs out links that are broken very reliably!
This is one of the best plugins I have ever used, and I put it on all my sites. It is hard enough to build quality content with link variation, however when those links disappear it is worse than having no link at all if your visitors are sent to a deadend!!
Here is an example of one of my sites where I have used this plugin extensively. With art being an ever changing industry, it was important for a site on chalk ink that the links are always valid and the site is operating properly. Highly recommended A+++
Thanks for making my web site maintenance easier ...
Our site kept getting hacked, even after extensive cleanup. Our hosting company finally got involved and said that a malicious IP was "accessing a file in the broken link finder plugin."
I'm not saying this plugin was the security hole. But in our case it looks like it was more useful to the hackers than to us.
Upon installation (via FTP) returned
The plugin does not have a valid header
and all my existing plugins, gave messages such as:
The plugin apocalypse-meow/index.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.
Having wasted many hours (on a previous non-WP site) manually updating links, I almost cried when I found this plugin. It works really, really well, too, immediately notifying you of broken internal or external links and, better yet, letting you fix those links directly from the plugin menu. It takes what had always been a time-consuming and frustrating chore and makes it a quick, simple job.
If you have a site with any number of either internal or external links, this plugin is a must.
