Do NOT buy the premium version of this plugin. Support is a nightmare. Glitches everywhere. Even in 2016 theme.
I don't know if this plugin is broken on my rig or if it's just this poorly designed, but there's absolutely no reasoning behind what I'm witnessing.
The status page has half the check marks and they don't make any sense. The color scheme has a deadening grey with a very sharp orange, as if that didn't scream broken do-not-use to everyone? The calendar/reservation system seems overly complex with no flow or reasoning as to how to get a basic setup going.
Is this effectively broken and just for show without a purchase or something? I couldn't even begin to test it out. Spent an hour going over it and decided this was a project gone awry. Maybe it had something going for it in an earlier version, but it doesn't make any sense right now.
Be very careful if you need custom work done or if you need to contact customer services, as you won't necessarily get what you are promised.
I commissioned the developer to make some custom changes for me. I was assured that the changes I paid for would work with future plugin updates, but within weeks they've gone back on their word. See below for excerpts from my communication with the developer.
The work took 2 months to complete with endless bug fixes, most of which I found having been told the work was finished. Their emails were brief, giving little detail. Within weeks of the work being complete, the developer updated the plugin to version 2.1.3.
I asked for help getting my customisations working with the new version, as was promised. They said they'd changed the plugin structure and that I'd have to pay for a re-write as the custom work was no longer compatible. They now refuse to acknowledge that this is going back on their word, let alone provide me with the service I paid for.
This is extremely unprofessional. The developer (Dot On Paper) presumably knew my custom work could be rendered useless with their next update, yet they never mentioned it. It's not my problem that they've changed their plugin structure and they should honour our agreement.
Q : Will my custom functionality work with future updates of Booking System Pro?
Yes. We will provide a log with all modifications. And if want to update your files you can send us the log and we will update the files for you and sync again the modifications.
Q : Will I get technical support for the custom work?
Yes. You will receive free support.
Me: please can you advise how I can update the plugin and not lose the custom work you did for me?
Developer: We would gladly help but the last version of the plugin has a different structure. This means the developer has to make the custom work all over. We charge for this work.
Does not display correct with themes sold by ENVATO. Unusable documentation.

As a result, bad feedback on this plugin. Woocommerce similar plugin is 4 times more expensive but might be worth...
I bought the pro version and it looks very nice but it’s extremely difficult to understand, documentation is very poor!
Documentation is not even up to date! In Back end - General information: Can’t find any FAQ in settings as shown in documentation screen dump, settings have entirely other look and why have double information? There's no extra info to the self explanatory menus.
The first three calendars have no delete basket, why is that? Bugg?
How do I make a basic set up with this plugin. I don´t understand the custom posts! How do I use them, what are they for? If choose to show the post it’s either to the page with same name or don’t show any content (broken link).
Tip! if you want to sell more of the pro version, make a comprehensive documentation or even better Youtube videos.
We bought the Pro version, with every update we discover a new bug, they are adding silly features instead on keeping the focus on what the people is asking since more than 1 year. The lady Sabina from the support team is only able to answer 1/5 of the questions. You write 10 words she reads 2. Frustrating, annoying, waste of time, money, and very useful if you want to make your customers upset!
It is a real shame that your plugin is not compatible with 3.9. The drop downs are not working properly and other entry boxes are not working properly either.
I would've bought it otherwise. Uninstalling it now.
I asked very specific questions about what this calendar could do before trying. Support answered with one single line saying "yes." Nothing more. So, I install and try it. It doesn't do anything near what I need from it. This calendar so far from being intuitive. Even basic stuff that I would assume it does I can't see how to make work.
