Speed up your blog with Easy Cache, bullet-proof and easy-to-use website caching mechanism for WordPress that just works.
It works fine, installed a week ago, tried before W3 total cache, WP super cache, and couple of other plugins, but they are too heavy and complex for my blog.
Downloaded, installed, works like charm, I excluded some posts and private pages from caching. My blog now feels much responsive and loads faster.
Used before couple of other popular plugins, but they messed with my content. Will stick to this for now and I'll share my thoughts if I face issues.
Works quite nicely. The problem (grave for me) is that it caches all pages but only updates the individual post pages. That means that if you edit a post the main page won't get updated, until the cache expires.
My WP theme was ruined when i used super-cache etc. Now it solved
WP Super Chache messed up without any identified reason,(Internal Server Error 500) I get rid of it and installed Easy Cache.
It does create static pages in a directory you specify, compiled pages are rebuild when you modify them and after a timeout you choose.
You can exclude pages.
Nothing is changed in htaccess
The initial page built is a bit slow though.
UPDATE: I am giving this plugin 2 stars because though it "shows" that the page is cached... none of the page speed sites (including google) is saying that my pages are cached???
The plugin works with various permalink settings, various pagination plugins like
WPML WordPress Multilingual Plugin, also tested extensively with Uber MegaMenu.
You can exclude pages or posts from being cached, tune the cache expiry time and review basic web server performance statistics.
The plugin automatically recreate cached file on disk when post or page has been modified (including when a comment is added or updated, which causes the comment count for the page/post to update), useful if you do not want your website visitors to wait for cache to expire to get the latest page/post/comments changes.
It has saved cache page minification mechanism for improved performance which also economize your resources and provide your visitors better experience.
