The latest version of WordPress with this plugin breaks writing new posts and pages. I've used this plugin since I started using WordPress and always depended on it, but now I have had to deactivate the plugin. Would like to use it again if the issue was fixed.
There is no plugin support, it creates canonical URL's for the new shortlink which is bad for seo
Not working and it's breaking the site.
This is a terrible plug-in. Clearly I didn't read the description properly. I quote from the description "With our new WordPress plug-in you can automatically create Bitly links for new posts" which is exactly what I wanted it to do. However, what I missed is the second FAQ where it mentions that it also automatically creates links for your old posts when someone visits them.
This is not what I want since I already have bitly links for my existing posts. If there's any way of turning this useless functionality off, I can't find it. As a result, this plug-in has created literally hundreds of unwanted bitly links which are now cluttering up my bitly account. As far as I know I'm going to have to archive them all, one-by-one. Thanks, bitly, for creating all this extra work for me.
Suffice to say I've deleted it and won't be installing it again.
This plugin is breaking my site. First of all, when activating the plugin, the site becomes a blank page. After adding the OAuth Token, the content in single pages is not shown.
Had to uninstall this plugin, it's causing the shortcode to get picked up rather than the site's actual permalink. I want this plugin to function, but unfortunately hasn't been updated in a year. F-
My purpose in installing this was the use it with the MailChimp Social plugin so that the WP shortlinks are replaced with Bit.ly links. It does not work for that purpose.
After activating, I tested my blog and got a redirect loop, then after deactivating and deleting this useless plugin, my posts have been removed from the database and I'm getting 404 errors.
Meant to do 1 star...
Plugin totally outdated, generating bad bitmarks, ruining Yoast SEO Plugin job, not intuitive, etc...
The service of Bit.Ly is still very useful. But I guess that it'd be simpler for me to create manually bitmarks and sharing them on the social networks than using bit.ly and publicize
Still getting SSL errors when i try to visit a post or CPT when this plugin is installed. I'm using the "Responsive" theme.
