This plugin does many useful things. It schedules appointments, allows clients to schedule their own, cancel or reschedule (Business+), syncs with GCal, and allows for different appointment lengths.
Some more sophisticated features would be awesome! The ability to change the order of services in the drop-down list. The ability to have flexible pricing options (especially to integrate with WooCommerce Name Your Price. The ability to add a break (lunch) time without having to create two schedules - one before and one after lunch.
It's a decent enough plugin for free if you don't mind that out of the box there is no styling of the frontend form and it's ugly on all but the worst website of the 1990's.
You got to style it, and I did before I realized the missing text fields on the front end. So your customer/client books an appointment but City and State are missing from the form... huh? So when you look up those new clients the form says everyone lives in Alabama. OK? It would have been less confusing if it was just blank.
This plugin uses a script called "Chosen" when searching past clients that auto-fills when you book them a new appointment from the backend. But this search field does not work at all if you have installed a really gotta-have-can't-live-without plugin called WP Jump Menu which also uses Chosen but does not affect any other plugins using Chosen. This incompatibility renders BirchPress Scheduler completely useless.
When contacting support Jennifer said it was designed to be missing City and State on PURPOSE and the code was well written... even though the search loader spins and spins... with no search results.
So, 3 stars because this will work for someone on a tight budget of free (their paid plugins are WAY WAY overpriced) but not for me. Codecanyon has much better options and only $22.
BTW, if you do use this plugin and need CSS for the frontend, and everyone should here's the code I wrote to make this plugin a little better. Just cut and paste into your CSS of your theme or download a CSS plugin.
