The Better Font Awesome plugin for WordPress. Shortcodes, HTML, TinyMCE, various Font Awesome versions, backwards compatibility, CDN speeds, and more.
One of the best plug ins in the repo in terms of using creative typography with WordPress
Loading from CDN myself isn't that hard, but this plugin also adds shortcodes, and doesn't add any unnecessary bloat. It's a no-brainer to use this one!
Great little generator for the editor; shortcodes so the editor doesn't destroy icons with its markup "cleanup"; and an always up-to-date icon-set. Perfect. Thanks very much!
I've always added font icons to my themes via the enqueue method, but then this evening I've been developing my next theme's shortcode plugin which was loading Font Awesome, only to realize that a better solution would be to keep the icon font separate and on its own. I found your plugin and have to say this is a great plugin for users to take advantage of because of how you created it, but also, they are not tied down with my theme or shortcodes, should they make a change later. Yours is simple and easy for the end-user.
I've been using Font Awesome for quite awhile, and had just been pulling in one of the libraries manually, and that worked fine.
But this takes care of that automagically, AND keeps up with newer versions of FA, not to mention providing lots of handy shortcodes. It is also updated regularly.
Great job, Mickey, thanks!
Excellent job guys. Thank you.
Very well designed plugin, simple, easy interface and super fast, does not slow down anything. Great job.
great plugin that have many ways to keep fonts
works like a charm
Font Awesome is included in my starter theme for use in templates, but in a recent build the need arose to use FA in the WP editor, and the client is not HTML savvy. So the shortcodes included with this plugin are more readily understood by the client, and easy to remember.
