doesn't work - no google API setting
By ,

this plugin no longer works. Google requires an API for maps, and the plugin does not have anything in the settings to add an API. Maps come up "oops, something's wrong"

Too much codes

Too much codes for a XXI sec plugin
Nowadays is time for clicks and drags.
Enough Linux or DOS similar things.

Solid, extensible plugin

I've used this plugin a number of times for various clients. It's pretty basic out of the box (hence its name, I guess), but it's coded in a way to make it easily extensible, with many filters to hook into if you need to. This tends to be my first choice for a location plugin these days, with the foreknowledge that I may have to add the little extras I want. A good plugin for developers to use, if willing to extend. Good for end users if the needs are basic.

Perfect & easy to customize and use on the site

This is one awesome plugin :). Works out of the box, you can easily customize the icons (simple functions.php code), it works with user front-end content editor plugins too - so your users can create your placemarkers for you :)

Support sucks for this plugin

Asked a simple question. Either can be answered with "No, go away and find other plugin" or someone could help.
Instead I get the silence treatment.

many features, good docs.

Many features, good doc, honest (and clear) support - meaning the author states he's not able to offer custom solutions, but keeps updating the plugin, without pushing premium versions. That's everything I expect form a free plugin.
