Have been using this plugin for years now, thought it time to give it the credit it deserves! I sleep better at night knowing I have a backup for incase....:-) thank you!
A great tool to automatically backup your WordPress.
It saved my ass my times.
Yesterday, I did a complete backup, and needed to restore it a few hours later.
The most recent complete backup contained an old database backup... if it wasn't for my web host, two months of work would have been thrown away.
It's a great tool, but you should definitely ALWAYS check the date on the SQL file before restoring a backup.
For this reason, it gets a 4/5
I have been using this plugin for over a month and it backup my all site content plus database with simple one click option. However some times it did throw some kind of Zip archive error, and I really don't khnw why..But over excellent job. Keep up your work
I like this back up plug in, nice and easy, but the auto back up feature to Dropbox and other locations is not free.
Quite simple and efficient. Does the job. Thank you! Only wish there was a restore option.
Easy to install, easy to set and reliable. Backups are easy to read too :-)
There is something wrong with the update ! Cannot access the admin panel after updating it. Please fix it. It is such an awesome plugin.
Great tool! Does almost exactly what I need.
I just did an automatic update of the plugin. After that all my backup files on the server were gone!!
Luckily I downloaded them before.
One suggestion for future changes:
I'd like have the possibility to set the file format for the backup filename. In my case i.e. date first, then domain, no profile.
Kind of YYYY-MM-DD-HH-M-[DOMAIN]-[PROFILE]-database.zip.
Awesome plugin! A restore function would be great too ;)
No need for a ton of frills when all you want to do is back up quickly and safely. This plugin gets the job done. It eliminates having to login to my host and backing up manually.
Quick tutorial on how I use it here.
Update 1/7/15: I've backed off slightly on my 5* to 4* due to a recent issue I had. Some of the databases that were backed up were corrupted and also, if you run a deluxe hosting package, the plugin doesn't know the difference between the folders so it backs up EVERYTHING in the root folder. If there was a better way to control which folders don't get backed up, this would be a much better plugin and it would probably have cut back on the corrupted database file.
