Failed - when I needed it most
By , for WP 4.6

Sadly, this pluglin has let me down. I was advised to take a certain action by one of the moderators of this forum due to something not working as it should after updating to the latest WP version.

I did a backup first thinking this could be restored if I needed it. Well, I did need it as after carrying out what i was advised, my site was all messed up (2,500 pages worth).

So I restored the backup only to find it had deleted many of my foreign images.

Beaware - if you use foreign names on your website the basic plugin will fail on a restore. Also it failed to restore the widget settings correctly.

I think I am going back to good old HTML static site building. Never had these sort of problems on none CMS sites.

The zip files are corrupted, does not matter if I download them form the wordpress page or using the FTP.
Unistalled and forgotten.

used to like it, now not so much

The fact that it doesn't work with older versions of PHP and it doesn't allow you to connect to a specific folder is enough for me to no longer recommend this plugin.

Loved it until it didn't work :(

This worked great...until the latest version of wordpress came out. Then this plug in crashed multiple sites. Sad. :(

Old backups are not deleted
By , for WP 3.9.3

I had to remove this plugin. My home directory was about 50 GB:

So the backup grows and it does not delete old backups.

I have asked my webhost to create backups. Don't use a plugin for backups.

Not backupping Links
By ,

That backup is useless... it's just a SQL database and there's no LINKS update inside as I write NOTES and I can't find any Notes in the SQL database... Useless (but very easy to use = good point)

backs up, but does not sned to google drive

I paid for the upgrade and it does not work. I tried using support, no response.

Good potential but failed
By , for WP 3.9

Despite a strong desire for this plugin to work....it does not complete successfully on an automatic schedule.

The plugin will work if run manually. The paid upgrade (to upload to Google Drive) will work if run manually.

It will not work as an automatic schedule and becomes "stuck" before successfully completing the backup. I suspect this may be a conflict with litespeed web server code.

Support by the company and programmers has, I regretfully report, been abysmal despite being fed extensive amount of troubleshooting steps taken, background information and weeks of trial and error to resolve on my behalf. The paid support resulted in a standardized suggestion and then all but abandoned me.

If this program works for you then consider yourself lucky. Many others are not having success.

Great until...

I had been using this plugin with no problems until...

My webhost just notified me that this plugin has been backing up its own backups in 'Complete' mode, growing exponentially larger every time it backs up. It seriously doesn't exclude all the directories it makes for backups? I checked and it only had one excluded. Not user-friendly, entry into the exclude window is tiny.

Very uncool.

Nice plugin
By , for WP 3.5.1

Super helpful plugin, but the 2.2.1 drops an open_basedir restriction, not to the fault of the server, preventing the successful backup of my database + files.

Upon downgrading, it works, but it the automatic back-up feature is broken - my "hourly" back-up schedule just doesn't run. Instead my stuff is backed up at apparently arbitrary intervals.

And, as far as I can discern, there's not much support in addressing these issues.
