Simple automated backups of your WordPress powered website.
This worked great...until the latest version of wordpress came out. Then this plug in crashed multiple sites. Sad. :(
I had to remove this plugin. My home directory was about 50 GB:
So the backup grows and it does not delete old backups.
I have asked my webhost to create backups. Don't use a plugin for backups.
That backup is useless... it's just a SQL database and there's no LINKS update inside as I write NOTES and I can't find any Notes in the SQL database... Useless (but very easy to use = good point)
I paid for the upgrade and it does not work. I tried using support, no response.
Despite a strong desire for this plugin to work....it does not complete successfully on an automatic schedule.
The plugin will work if run manually. The paid upgrade (to upload to Google Drive) will work if run manually.
It will not work as an automatic schedule and becomes "stuck" before successfully completing the backup. I suspect this may be a conflict with litespeed web server code.
Support by the company and programmers has, I regretfully report, been abysmal despite being fed extensive amount of troubleshooting steps taken, background information and weeks of trial and error to resolve on my behalf. The paid support resulted in a standardized suggestion and then all but abandoned me.
If this program works for you then consider yourself lucky. Many others are not having success.
I had been using this plugin with no problems until...
My webhost just notified me that this plugin has been backing up its own backups in 'Complete' mode, growing exponentially larger every time it backs up. It seriously doesn't exclude all the directories it makes for backups? I checked and it only had one excluded. Not user-friendly, entry into the exclude window is tiny.
Super helpful plugin, but the 2.2.1 drops an open_basedir restriction, not to the fault of the server, preventing the successful backup of my database + files.
Upon downgrading, it works, but it the automatic back-up feature is broken - my "hourly" back-up schedule just doesn't run. Instead my stuff is backed up at apparently arbitrary intervals.
And, as far as I can discern, there's not much support in addressing these issues.
