Simple automated backups of your WordPress powered website.
This is the best backup plugin to date. It is fast, easy, and secure. No issues thus far and kudos to the developers.
Should be added to the WordPress installation as a core plugin.
Great plugin. Does what it should do. Easy, simple, great!
Easy to install, easy to set and reliable. Backups are easy to read too :-)
Good plugin structure, no strange settings, works as it should. I'm pretty happy with it :)
Just used it today for the first time. Made a new schedule, easy to set up. Made it sent a notification once finished. Received mail as promised including downloadlink to put the back up local. Great stuff!!
I have just spent a whole day checking out all the possible backup plugins for my 30+ websites. Unfortunately for me, the last to look at was this one. Backupwordpress is simple to use, and just works. I run Bullet Proof Security on all my sites which has a conflict with this plugin. However the fix is very simple and explained here https://wordpress.org/support/topic/403-forbidden-response-backupwordpress?replies=2#post-3346816. It takes two minutes to fix. All in all, a fantastic simple tool for total peace of mind. Note to developers: An automated method of downloading backups is something to aim for in the future. As I maintain 30 sites, it can be a bit time consuming downloading them all individually! An absolute must for ANY wordpress installation!
A comprehensive tool, easy to adapt to your needs. And doing its job.
The schedule function and e-mail-notification is very helpful.
I've been using paid versions of backup plugins for years and decided to try this one for a client that needed a free alternative. Using this plugin has made me switch to it exclusively. Works in multiple environments with no problems. Not to name names, but this is definitely my new "buddy".
Saved my bacon when a site was hacked. Thanks.
VERY GOOD: Works very well. I'm installing it in my second wp site.
'BIG' WEBSITES: if your website is very big, lots of images, as mine, you might encounter a problem when the backup plugins does its job. In my case my website comes offline because my server does that saying it takes too much of their storage space to run the backup in my 'big' website.
Then I have (1) to reset ftp www password so that the websites comes back.
Then I (2) manually backup my images ftp folders (/www/wp-contente/uploads/imagesfolders) using Filezilla. I leave them in my hd which is backuped with Dropbox.
Then I go to the (3) plugin wp painel page (wp painel/tools/backup), click on 'exclusions', select the above ftp images folders, month by month (example: /www/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/), so that it doesn´t comes offline again because these images.
If in the future one day I upload a good amount of images in my website, in that very moment I do the same process (2) and (3) so that the website doesn´t come offline when the backup plugin does its job, neither I will have any problems if I need to restore these images backup as I will have done it manually.
I hope it helps.
Thanks for the very good plugin.
