An excellent program to say the least, and does exactly what you need! I was playing around with WinSCP which does synchronization but by mistake I synchronized my empty folder on the HD with my root on the remote host. (I just changed the direction of synchronization by mistake. "shit happens" by Forest G.) So you can imagine, everything was erased from the net right away. Luckily before this action I made a complete backup with this excellent program, and restoring the deleted files was a breeze. What a release!

Box \\Fuera, \\ it schedules a daily backup of the database and a weekly backup of your database and files. Pellizqu some parameters but almost no bean then need; There will be enough to leave it in the default configuration.

Buttonhole all plugins this was good. Completely free of complications, works as advertised. Do yourself a favor, never boot from installation of WP with this plugin. Maximum peace of mind...

better than the payment options - it just restored my main site and leave without problems.

Effective and Intuitive
By , for WP 4.0.1

I have tried other backup solutions, but this one is the most intuitive and flexible one yet.

I like it that I can exclude files, schedule backups and backup to my server as well as Amazon S3.

The interface is intuitive and easy to configure.

Well done.

User-friendly and works.
By , for WP 4.0.1

This plugin reliably backs up files and database producing a compressed folder containing your WordPress files and folders (core files, plugins, themes, media etc.) and a SQL file representing your database back-up.

Back-ups are stored in a specific back-up directory but can be emailed when less than 10MB and can also be downloaded from within the plugin admin area.

Setting up scheduled back-ups is very straight-forward.

The best thing about this plugin is that it's not bloated with configuration options, looks pretty and doesn't require the exploitable curl_exec() function to be enabled like some of the more popular back-up plugins.

Decent trouble-shooting documentation exists on the author's website which helped me figure out why I was receiving a CRON warning. In my case, the website was in maintenance mode which prevents CRON and therefore the scheduling of back-ups from running. No fault of the plugin itself but the author had nonetheless preemptively documented a resolution.

Update deletes backups
By , for WP 4.0

Great tool! Does almost exactly what I need.

I just did an automatic update of the plugin. After that all my backup files on the server were gone!!
Luckily I downloaded them before.

One suggestion for future changes:
I'd like have the possibility to set the file format for the backup filename. In my case i.e. date first, then domain, no profile.
Kind of YYYY-MM-DD-HH-M-[DOMAIN]-[PROFILE]-database.zip.
