Requires API key which is unavailable
By , for WP 4.5.3

The plugin requires an API key which is unavailable on their official site.

It appears to me that Adobe purchased this plugin company to disable new users, cripple the app, and, sooner or later, shut it down. Thereby, they appear to be trying to promote their $80 per month subscription service to their other apps, which may or may not include access to Aviary.

Regardless, this plugin offers no functionality in itself.

As the plugin no longer offers any functionality, beyond acting as an advertisement for an unrelated paid service, I respectfully suggest that the plugin be removed from the WordPress Plugin Archive.

If anyone has a respectable download source for the original app, prior to the Adobe purchase in September 2014, please provide a link below.

Great Plugin

This is a fantastic plugin that my client will get a lot of use form. I'm not sure why its not more popular!

I would like to suggest that there is support for larger images. Currently the editor scales the image to 800px wide which is max. I have images for backgrounds etc that are 1600.

Could you please have a look at this?

This would be the only reason for me to stop using this plugin and look for another solution.

Thanks!

A little patience pays dividends

I've never reviewed a wp plugin before (bad, I know) but felt compelled to after seeing the negative comments here. People, the video on the description tab tells you all you need to know. If you guys had taken a minute to watch that before dismissing someone else's hard work, you might be better informed.

In a nutshell:

  • Make sure you view the media library in list view, not the default grid view
  • Each image now has an "edit photo" button in the far right column
  • Click that button and edit away

Yes, it saves your edited image as a copy. I personally think this is the right approach. For one, if you screw something up you can try again with the original. And in the case of what I'm using it for right now, cropping a larger image into sections, it again makes perfect sense. Each new crop is a new file. That's precisely what I need.

Thanks to the author for a great plugin that saved my bacon in a tight corner. And apologies to everyone for any misunderstandings or omissions in this review. Blame that on my own impatience to get on with the task at hand!

Worthless
By , for WP 3.9.1

It makes a copy of the image in the media area. So completely defeats having it in WordPress as you have to replace the image anyway.

Awesome little editor!
By , for WP 3.5

This is an awesome little plugin that gives you the full Aviary toolset (In the Media library). Lets you crop, touch up, add instagram style effects and a bunch of other stuff.

It could be made better by also being able to edit images from the 'insert media' window instead of just on the 'Media' tab on the left but it's a good start and beats opening up a photo editor for a little crop...

Does nothing.

Sits in the plugin area, but has no settings and no way to use it. No info provided on how to use it. Garbage.
