Works well

This is good. Adds the functionality of being able to browse through months to the WordPress calendar, but it would benefit from tooltips when you hover over the date.

Does not support custom post types as advertised
By , for WP 4.1.1

The plugin does not support custom post types as advertised. Either using the widget, shortcode or theme function.

Though the widget has the option to chose a post type it did not show on the front end and it did not update the category select to choose the categories related to the post type.

Using the attributes in the shortcode does not work, same with the theme function. The supplied arguments have no effect.

Excellent plug-in
By , for WP 4.1

Very pleased with this. Customisation options feel a little complicated for a newbie and it's taken a while to match the look of my site - only a small glitch remains which I suspect is down to my theme over-riding the plugin's code - but essentially a really nice addition to my site.

The best plugin for visualize archive
By , for WP 4.0.1

Recently I've ran into a need of visualizing archive in some convenient and good looking format. After a day spent on marketplace, I haven't found anything that fits such need more. The plugin brings not only good looking way of navigating through numerous posts, it is also highly customizable so can fit to variety of needs.
By the way, the author helped me to personalize the plugin to my specific needs - so the plugin is alive and you should not worry about specific compliance details.
Using the one with the latest version of WP.
All in all - great job, thank you, Aleks.

Not showing current month
By ,

Hi there!

This plugin is exactly what we were looking for my magazine site. However, it does not show the current month. We just installed it and it shows November instead of August in the month view. Is there any way to show the current month at the top?

Also, we would need to display the calendar in Spanish... Is there any translation available? If not... Is there any file that we can edit by ourselves?

Thanks a lot for your support!

Best regards

Nice one except a jQuery error. It is solved.

Thanks a lot for nice plugin.

Anyway, there was an error for me 'ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined'. It could be based on my script structure. To overcome the issue, I just modified a line in file : archive-calendar.php @ function archivesCalendar_jquery_plugin() added dependency array to wp_register_script statement. The complete statement is below.

function archivesCalendar_jquery_plugin()
{
	wp_register_script( 'archivesCW', plugins_url(). '/archives-calendar-widget/jquery.archivesCW.min.js',
                array('jquery') );
	wp_enqueue_script( 'archivesCW');
}

Everything fine.

also I could be able to modify this plugin to work with different post types using different url pattern.

Great - with some css tweaks.

I had to spend some time getting the colors, typography and general CSS to match my theme. But the result is a much better widget calendear than the regular calendar widget.

It would be great if changing colors and other aspects of the look & feel would be built in to the settings.

Great plugin!
