After playing around with several other appointment booking plugins and removing them for being to flashy or complicated I thought I had found the one.
Very nice simple interface that doesn't consume the whole page and had all the relevant fields for a simple small business website.
On the first test after integrating it I learned the "free" version forces you to pay via paypal, even if you had no intention of having payment features, forcing you to buy the full version to have any chance of using it without paypal or as a standalone booker.
Product wise I would have given it 5stars happily, and would have brought the full version to get the full feature set aswell as support the dev.
Due to the dev being quite literally a jerk in the manner the plugin is restricted I have to deduct 3 stars.
Ended up going with Bookly which I can't honestly fault.
great appointment plugin
Great support, even for the free version.
Works perfectly, does everything I need, and does it well.
The appointment dates selection is the best I've seen, setup is easy and support through plugin's website is good.
I really like this plugin, has a very pretty booking calendar. It's useful when PayPal is used to process bookings, fully featured in that case. Cons: the form have to be manually edited or opt for a different version for having a visual form designer integrated in the plugin. An easier way to edit the form will be a nice feature, at least some checkboxes to select which fields display. Please add it to make this an even better plugin.
Hi your plug-in is fantastic! I was looking for a one-step appointment plugin and assumed that I'd have to modify a plugin but you've got a fully pre-built one! Though I installed the plug-in a minute ago there's so many other possibilities that I can think of a million uses already. Don't need any of the extra functions but I'll get the pro version just to say thanks.
Unless I am missing something, the connection to the PayPal site does not allow a user to bypass creating a PayPal account and simply pay via credit/debit card using PayPal.
Why is this the case? Any other website I've used or created where I directly linked to PayPal allows users this option to pay via credit card without having to create a PayPal account to do so.
I work for a chiropractor that wanted to launch online appointments without having a huge back end that took multiple steps just to make a simple appointment. We didn't need billing (which this can do), and we didn't need to store our patients information or provide logins. We just wanted a super easy to use plug in that made the appointments and put them on our calendar. This is perfect! The price of the plug in is great, and we did request some customizations. The cost for the customizations was very fair. I had a lot of questions and needed some help here and there making things just right, and their customer support was always prompt and very helpful. This is been perfect for us, and we are very excited to be implementing our new appointment system.
I got it all set up and I went to test it and the program redirected me to paypal. Also, uses a lot of resources so it slowed my site to a crawl. Interface is not user friendly.
I am talking about premium version as free version is quite limited and it forces you to use Paypal so let's consider this as almost 100% commercial plugin.
The plugin is full of potential for the price, specially comparing prices for other pro calendar versions out there. More than enough set of configurations but without being overwhelming or extremely difficult to use.
In particular I liked the way you can set up your calendar spots in an individual fashion, so you can end with trully custom calendars. It is possible to set up each appointment time slot for any given time and date, with its specific duration and its specific max capacity... Because yes: (message for other pro calendar developers out there) real people and business timetables are messy, difficult and sometimes even weird (yes some client of mine has appointment slots of 5 minutues, and then of 3 minutes, and then of 20 minutes, and the next day is different, and so on...).
Very quick and professional support (answer and update in less than 24 hours), and the code is clean and understandable so I could tweak it easily to add user access control support for specific roles and user groups.
(Although not very fair with the tricky commercial strategy regarding free version. I think is adviced anyway in plugin description)
