Add popups to your site. Add links to pages/posts via a shortcode which will be opened in a popup browser window.
I was searching for JUST this type of Plugin when I came across the original post of someone else searching for something like it. One of the responders, in practically no time flat, selflessly created THIS plugin on the poster's great idea....SO perfect for what I needed!
Question, though...did the original poster ever wrestle that lockjawed alligator for you? ;)
Simple and effective. Does exactly what I need it to do. Thanks very much!
I have been trying to load my old Flash files in my portfolio. I needed them to load in a new window to match their dimensions, AND load from my other server, where I have some scripts for the files, and source files for data and audio... this is perfect. I love that it loads in the center of the window, too. I stumbled upon this beautiful little plugin from a forum post. The author is so generous and kind to have written this to help someone out. I'm donating!
Works like a charm! Thank you!
I just got a static "notification" really. Something the theme I am using already has.
you saved me with this, works great on my 'top 500' at http://www.yourgardenplanner.com/
So simple! Easy to add. Easy to customize. Looks great. Super quick and helpful response to my support question. Many thanks!
Simple, simple, simple.
Just install, activate, and then add on-the-fly configurable popups for anything you need. No jquery or child themes.
[popup url="http://URL-for-popup" height="300" width="800"]Text Displayed for Link[/popup]
My site has downloadable (long) audio files. Now someone can listen and control the playback while still being able to navigate around the site.
super useful!, especially the ability to use it in HTML with the popup class
This is a great plugin! I was searching the internet for something like this and came across your alligator thread......and then installed the plugin.
I did have one slight issue with the way the plugin worked with another plugin I'm using, called justified image grid. When I opened up my galleries on a mobile device, the lightbox window was extremely small (for the plugin justified image grid). I then deactivated the alligator popup plugin, reactivated it, and then emptied my cache.....and my lightbox galleries for justified image grid work perfect now on a mobile. Have no clue how or why that fixed it! Just an FYI if anyone else comes across this same issue...
Thanks again for making this great plugin!
