All in One SEO Pack is a WordPress SEO plugin to automatically optimize your WordPress blog for Search Engines such as Google.
It's all I need for on-page SEO.
However I occasionally have some error using it, e.g. not updating SEO status after I change main keyword. But it's still a very good SEO plugin.
After instaling this plugin. It kicked all my wordpress. I need to remove this plugin manually though ftp. Do not instal it nowdays into 4.1 WP.
After some years using another famous SEO plugin - with bad results - I decided to make simple. And, magically, I see more and more visitors from seach engines ! No complicated options, good practices.
Doesn't work. My biggest regret is not realizing it sooner. As proof, try this: Install the plugin, wait a couple of days, then type into Google a title of your blog, see if it shows up. It WON'T, indicating that this plugin doesn't work ...
I do like this plugin but still the analytics options never works. please fix that already
Every one knows what I mean! its really better than other SEO plugins
Hi, I do not know if this is where I can do this, but it is important I think the All in seo plugin is corrupt, I believe strongly that it was hacked and because this time I'm doing two again all my wordpress install because of him, the two times I've installed the all in seo plugin at the plugin activation page appears red attempted phishing! Twice! After that impossible to access the extension of my blog! The phishing page appears, so I again deleted my system!
SO I JUST CALLED YOU PREVENT AND PERSONS ABLE TO DO SOMETHING
I am very appreciate to the developer of this plugin. Its make much easier to make my site more serach engine friendly. The advantage also simple to use and the interface easy to understand. see sampale of my agen umroh haji site : http://www.risalahkaryamandiri.com , you can see the url is SEF
upon further review of how SEO operates I have found this plugin to not only be worthless, but counter-productive.
There are numerous problems beyond this by I will quickly try to summarize:
It repeats the content as the page description, search engines consider this a content injection. If the post's summary is set to be different content such as a teaser then it works fine.
The keywords of the homepage are the currently displayed article. Your homepage is not 1 article (usually), the homepage keywords should be the sites focus or ideals. When the homepage's keywords are changed with the next post, the pagerank is reduced. However, this feature on individual article pages is great (as the keywords remain the same).
It sets the canonical to be the current url The canonical is supposed to be the permanent url of the content when the content is being temporarily featured. It is never supposed to be the current url (redundant, bad).
The homepage declaring itself to be the canonical of the content tells search engines the content is intentionally duplicated, to remain (very bad).
When the homepage changes to the next post, a page declaring to be canonical is changing its content (very bad).
The article's pagerank is reduced because the content is duplicated else where (bad).
A proper SEO pack will set the canonical only on the homepage, to be the url of the content featured, it will set the keywords on the homepage to be the keywords of the site while the keywords on post pages to be the posts topics, and it will not whole-chunk duplicate the page's content as the description.
With current search engine practices, this plugin currently causes more harm than benefits.
If you need/want to use it and don't mind modifying code, simply delete the line that echos the canonical tag and much of its deficiencies are resolved.
I would recommend it to anyone. I've been using for 4 years.
