Doesn't work. My biggest regret is not realizing it sooner. As proof, try this: Install the plugin, wait a couple of days, then type into Google a title of your blog, see if it shows up. It WON'T, indicating that this plugin doesn't work ...
upon further review of how SEO operates I have found this plugin to not only be worthless, but counter-productive.
There are numerous problems beyond this by I will quickly try to summarize:
It repeats the content as the page description, search engines consider this a content injection. If the post's summary is set to be different content such as a teaser then it works fine.
The keywords of the homepage are the currently displayed article. Your homepage is not 1 article (usually), the homepage keywords should be the sites focus or ideals. When the homepage's keywords are changed with the next post, the pagerank is reduced. However, this feature on individual article pages is great (as the keywords remain the same).
It sets the canonical to be the current url The canonical is supposed to be the permanent url of the content when the content is being temporarily featured. It is never supposed to be the current url (redundant, bad).
The homepage declaring itself to be the canonical of the content tells search engines the content is intentionally duplicated, to remain (very bad).
When the homepage changes to the next post, a page declaring to be canonical is changing its content (very bad).
The article's pagerank is reduced because the content is duplicated else where (bad).
A proper SEO pack will set the canonical only on the homepage, to be the url of the content featured, it will set the keywords on the homepage to be the keywords of the site while the keywords on post pages to be the posts topics, and it will not whole-chunk duplicate the page's content as the description.
With current search engine practices, this plugin currently causes more harm than benefits.
If you need/want to use it and don't mind modifying code, simply delete the line that echos the canonical tag and much of its deficiencies are resolved.
This plugin does not have the configuration neither gives the instructions to make it work with nginx.
I upgraded a WP site to 4.0 and then updated the plugins including this one. I noticed an immediate jump in my server utilization from around 40% to 93%. I disable this plugin and it goes back to the 40% I'm accustom to. I'll be returning to Yoast's SEO tool, I'm more comfortable with it anyway.
Used the free version for a number of years, and then it appeared to drop all the meta tags and deactivated itself. At least, it was no longer possible to enter or view previously entered SEO data. It also appeared to lower the visibility of the web site, which says it was working well. I object to representing All in One SEO Pack as free when it appears that it isn't, and what appears to be the removal of content that I added through its extensions in WordPress (appears likely in June based on stats) through a plugin update.
After reading some good reviews, I decided to give this plugin a shot.
After using it for a full 3 months, I came to the conclusion that more than 50% of its features simply do not work.
I'm suspecting this is a deliberate move by the devs to make you buy their pro version. Only with that version will you get any kind of support.
Even their forums are hidden for non-paying users!
Much better alternatives are available, stay away from this one.
Buyers Beware Of The Premium Plugin My Service Was Canceled I Paid The $39 And The Additional $10 And I Was Told That I Had To Renew The Subscription After The Second Month Of Service My Payments were on time This Was The Worst Service Ever And I Asked For A Refund And Didn't Get A Refund. I'm Very Upset I Paid For A Service I Never Received And Paypal Said They Can't Help Me My Plugins Disabled, And I'm Just So Angry Right Now there Ignoring my emails I Regret Using This Service. This Isn't Right At All Be Careful. I Work Hard For My Money To Be Taken Advantage Of Is Unfair!!
I downloaded the plug-in, followed the installation instructions and proceeded to the activation. When I got to “Dynamically generate keywords for posts page” it referred me to “Settings / Reading / Front Page Displays” but now, whenever I try to access any Dashboard menu item, Firefox asks me what application I want to open the .php file with instead of displaying the page. I can’t even deactivate the plug-in.
Is this how they plan to get you to spend $39 for the app and another $49/yr. for updates and support?
The free version doesn't work as described and it would seem that purchasing the upgrade will help. This is not true.
Trying to get support is an absolute joke. They intentionally ignore you even when you pay good money for the add-ons.
Do not fall for purchasing this product nor using it. There is no support at all for it. Wish I had heeded the others warnings.
If you will request for a refund, they will access your site (where installed their plugin) then put a Malware (Virus) without your permission, so Google block you and get ignored by most of websites search engine.. Be careful and don't use this!!
Avoid using such plugin ..
