Functionally Good, Weak Support
By , for WP 4.1.1

This calendar has a lot of very attractive functional features, which was the reason I initially installed it a couple of years ago. Early releases I found to be very buggy often breaking an installation. Especially when it came to version updates. This eventually led me to abandon the entire thing for the better part of a year. I revisited a while back installed on a test site to see if it was less buggy. Happily it appeared that they had worked many of the issues and updates seemed to go smoothly without breaking my test install. I also became a premium member to get better support. However this is where these guys really fall short. Many of those posting here have echoed support drawbacks and I would agree with them all. At this particular time I have two open tickets that are over a week old. One with no response and the other with a response that didn't solve the issue. I am more than happy to submit another review once the support issues get worked out, but at this time I cannot give this plug-in any more than a 3 star rating. To be fair I have at times received excellent reply in the forums from one of their super users but this has been the exception.

Full Calendar display buggy
By , for WP 4.1.1

Not totally broken, but a little bug in the full calendar display, where some weekend events display as occurring for the whole month. Had to delete them and re-add them.

Editing difficult
By , for WP 4.1

Since the latest update of the Timely calendar, it is no longer possible to edit event categories for color or image, nor is it possible to change the master settings of the calendar.

no support for previous version
By ,

I paid for the pro version but it is no longer supported. Now some features are premium that were not before. My concern is what features, pricing and support changes are in the future?

Sidebar content not correct ?

How to remove sidebar content ???

Great plugin, but resource hog
By , for WP 3.9.1

Worked for me out of the box. Offers features that others require you to pay for but ultimately I could not use this plugin.

It used over 100 sql queries per page and added 4 seconds to my load times per page.

looks great, breaks on upgrades
By , for WP 3.8.3

This is my favorite calendar of all, by far, for the look and feel. Unfortunately, you can count on it breaking your site often on upgrades. It happened too many times on a couple of big sites I manage, so I'm now considering other options. "The Events Calendar" is the next best thing I've found, but I really wish Timely could get it together and make a calendar that doesn't break sites. Sigh . . .

Breaks with updates
By , for WP 3.9

...and looks like it has a history of doing so. Im now having to fix a client site for free because I was foolish to think I can upgrade this painlessly like other plugins.

My unresolved issue is similar to this one:

Used to be great
By , for WP 3.8.1

I used this plugin for a while, but since the most recent upgrades, it's been breaking javascript in the Admin, adding lots of weird visual issues through the custom themes - and is now somewhat unusable. :(

It also has a weird event slug (a1ec_event), which makes URL's on the site look strange.

Works but should really focus on best practice
By , for WP 3.5.1

Works, but doesn't follow WordPress conventions and best practice in several places, e.g. with the theme system (themes for this plugin must go into wp-content/ and are overwritten on update). Also, there's still no custom permalinks support!
