I love this plugin and have been using it for years but today I had to uninstall it because it cause my site to have 500 and 504 errors. Hosting company said it was overloading my site. Sad. Will there be an update to fix this?
this used to be my favorite calendar plugin.
Main reason is the Posterboard view, looks so good as the default calendar view.
However this is an add-on plugin, that continually needs updated as a separate add-on, available only through the shopping cart on the Timely site.
Grabbing a new copy, sometimes still does not work.
Until they work out their commerce model, and make it easier.
I refuse to play along with this calendar plugin.
It takes hours of time to do the maintenance on this one, and in the end it breaks with every update of the main plugin.

Been using this calendar for several years, from back when it was all free. Didn't mind when they went to a paid model because it had so many features, and people need to earn a living.
It was always temperamental, especially with updates, but support was responsive, so I could work with it. Again, the features were great once you got the bugs worked out or a workaround in place.
Then they changed the whole structure of the plugin, separating it into modules. This was a MAJOR change, and they sent out the update without warning you at all that it was drastically different on the back end and would blow up your calendar. Their response to that was, "oh, sorry about that," but at least they helped me get it all straightened out. That was also the point at which they abandoned their previous level of support. That pretty much sums up the Time.ly experience until now.
Now, despite being a paid customer, I am stuck with forum support only. $99 a month for support for a piece of software that has ALWAYS been very bug-ridden is an outrageous price, and not in the budget. A plugin like Gravity Forms, which is a powerful thing of beauty, costs $199 a year for the developer's license, and that's if you can't find a coupon.
Being a long-time Time.ly user, I remember when the website used to go on and on about how the calendar would always be free of charge. Like I said, I don't mind paying for good software, and have even agreed to pay for this buggy software. But $99 A MONTH for white screens of death with every upgrade? No.
When this calendar works it is great. I am on WP Engine, (which also costs less than $99 a month) so I always back up before upgrading this calendar, and thus was able to restore easily when today's Time.ly update crashed the product.
I would switch to something else, but have never found another calendar that isn't also receiving a lot of negative reviews. So, so far I'm stuck with the devil I know.
If you are new to this calendar I would definitely give competitors a try before locking myself into endless battle with bad updates, plus ripoff pricing.
seems to work ok if you want a full page calendar tool but shortcodes are broke and really I expected more from a site that sells $99 pro and addons. The core is rather weak and so many people having problems with pro that you know this free one is really neglected. Looks good but does not work to match.
The themes are mess-up and nothing seems to work properly.
It's not bad, but not worth the ridiculous amount of trouble you have to go through to get anything done, really. They like to complicate things instead of keeping it all simple and easy.
Shitty plugin. DO NOT USE, you will be sorry.
Sure, looks nice, plenty of cool features, that's why I really tried to make do with it for months and months, putting up with its nonsensical versioning system, its concurrent versions which try to update one another, its random breaking of the plugin page. I wanted to love it. But now it makes my website horribly slow, even when using half of the features. Now that's enough. Pay for a premium plugin if you have to and be done with it, but do not use this one, it will drive you crazy.
I really would like to use this calendar, but unfortunately it seems that there a lot of compatibility issues.
First, there are confusingly two free versions, one ("lite") from the wordpress standard repository (install within wordpress backend), then there is a "standard" version from their website. Updating was a big hassle and only after several attempts (it took hours), I managed to get a fully functional install.
But then again, the seemingly working installation broke again: As soon you view the web page with a browser, where you are not logged in as a backend user (admin in this case), the calendar page is totally blank. Ok, I went to their forum, you have to manually insert php-code somewhere, but no success at first attempt... Okay, then I found another php code snippet to insert, this time with success.
It looks like the whole thing is quite unstable. Too bad!

I like this calendar and have it installed on a couple of client sites. But, the current version is not compatible with WP3.8.1. I also found a curious bug with it last week: when an event is created for one of the last few days of a long month (beyond 4 weeks), the plug-in places it in the first week of the month. I tried to contact support and their site was not working correctly. None of these things are good signs, and I'll be looking for a replacement plug-in.
