Shady practices
By Plugin Author, for WP 4.2.3

Actually you are wrong, I displayed a message to users about this update coming, that it will be mandatory ...

Also I guide people to the old version and on top of that I even give the Pro Addon out for FREE to legacy users!.

You however:

Now that the developer has taken that option away unless you pay for the plugin
make it sound like people have to pay. The truth is I actually saw things like this happening on other plugins and carefully tryed to aviod people think I have done this. But I cant account for morons who are to lazy to read.

But of course some hater who is to stupid to read comes along and makes false claims. I actually expected this and expect more of your kind come along. I am so sorry for not want to live from state money and actually get payed for my work. I know I am so evil for taking money. So sorry for having a extremely long beta period where I invited people to test and planned this release carefully ... oh fuck off!

Simply Awesome !!

I've tested at least 10 other plugins from the same genre myself ... this is by far the best I've come across. Simply perfect! Does everything I need it to do and more. This is definitely worth paying for ... Thanx a bunch.

Doesn't work
By , for WP 4.2.2

I use both YouTube and Daily Motion videos. Plug in did not work for either of them.

Very annoying banner
By , for WP 4.2.2

While testing the plug-in in my freetime (and I have not much freetime) there comes a banner with the message that I need to donate. If I use plugins for WP I will buy them or pay for a donationn. What's irritating me, is the way of contacting me after a few days testing. Also if you click tyhe "Ignore", there is a modification of the admin.php by adding code after admin.php

This is a very low way of trying to get a donation. Getting a white screen after clicking "Ignore" This plugin and his developer(s) are blacklisted.

Stop struggling with video embeds
By , for WP 4.2.2

I struggled trying to make my default video embeds sized and responsive (I always try to do things without plugins whenever possible.) But after I had exhausted all my efforts, I tried this plugin and it just did everything I needed in an instant. Even after I picked it apart and figured out how to create a responsive container myself without the plugin, I still ran into small issues with the default sizing and decided to use the plugin instead. I simply was not able to hack my way to the same elegance that this plug in provides. I hereby concede.

This plugin is great. Totally does what it says.

Simple, does the job, works great!

Best Player Plugin hands down.

I have tried almost all if not all video player plugins and I found this to be the best. Not to mention, Nico seems to be a cool dude.

Use with Visual Composer and SnapTube theme?
By , for WP 4.2.2

The setup format I am using for a new site is the following:

The theme is SnapTube [http://cohhe.com/demo/snaptube/] which natively uses WordPress Video Gallery [https://wordpress.org/plugins/contus-video-gallery/] to load YouTube videos individually into its own custom post type, and then use a widget for Visual Composer from WPBakery, to dislay them.

Most video auto-fetch plugins seem to import video content into the WordPress database directly. However, it looks like Contus uses its own custom database.

The VisualComposer widget can 'see' the WordPress Video Gallery database, where other video downloaders I have tried can see the custom post type but the video downloaders I have tried so far cannot post to the database.

I would like to cut out WordPress Video Gallery altogether and simply have Visual Composer widget display the videos from your WordPress downloads.

Do you think that would be possible?
