When used right, ACF, more than any other plugin, turns WP into a flexible content management system. It's the plugin that's behind most any big company site running on WP.
ACF is well-designed, provides adequate documentation, and has consistently improved for years. It's pretty well a perfect plugin.
I've been using ACF for years, since before it went Pro. It is one of my all-time favorite plugins. Triples the power of WordPress. Quadruples! more! Features get added and it only gets better, not bloated.
ACF is a must-have plugin for custom fields; there is no second option - go right for it. Simple to use, very intuitive and with extensions, is really a powerful tool. Very well documented and supported, and thanks because it's free!
I use it to create H2 headings for Woocommerce product categories and it does its job.
Unfortunately position high (after title) doesn't work, it is years old bug and no solutions presented on support forum solve it. Also hide on screen has no effect no matter what I select.
Still I would recommend this plugin if you can spare some time learning it.
I've been using the ACF plugin for at least 6 years now and it's been absolutely amazing! It's well supported, well documented, regularly updated and has never let me down. The Pro upgrade of the plugin gives you a few extra features which are awesome, and essential in my workflow when it comes to customising WordPress for clients. This is, without a doubt, the best plugin I've ever used on WordPress!
Plugin works fine, but the old version of jQuery is uses conflicts with other popular plugins. Should be using whatever WP does, but this one is even behind an update or two on that. Can't use it. Just FYI - The plugin I had found conflicting with it was WPeMatico.
It's really useful.
Easy to use
my favorite plugin
I'm just learning Custom Post Types and was kind of dreading adding all my own custom fields. This plugin works perfectly & did exactly what I wanted to do in a matter of minutes. No doubt it saved my 10+ hours so thank you, well worth the $100 for a dev licence
