Customise WordPress with powerful, professional and intuitive fields
I'm here just to say thank you - and - If you are a WordPress beginner or a pro, this plugin help you make nice things!!
Again Thank you to the developers,
From us wpdesign13 :)
indispensable, there are no words
Thanks to the ACF team... I couldn't build complex client sites without this plugin. Amazing!
From the admin UI to the documentation, it's pretty much perfect.
Makes wordpress much easier to use
simple yet Powerful
I can't stress enough how useful this is in an enterprise environment customization is needed and the end user is not a wordpress guru. The ability to create Options pages, galleries, repeated elements etc is invaluable. THe free version is amazing and PRO is worth the money to unlock a few extra features.
I've been using the free version to build a submission system for a literary magazine, after giving up on a long hunt for an affordable existing solution. ACF has made it possible for a newish developer to create a customized system that integrates the flow from submission to publication. The thorough documentation has helped me not only to use the plugin but to use WordPress more effectively in general.
I'm upgrading to ACF 5 Pro now for the additional options and to support the developer, but the free version provides all the essential functionality. I highly recommend ACF 4, and I'm betting I'll be back to rave about ACF 5. I appreciate the non-recurring payment structure and the option to pay only the difference in cost if I need to upgrade later to the developer license.
I spent about two hours trying to hack in this functionality, but I couldn't do it.
Here is a screenshot of my hack but it doesn't work:
Basically I want to be able to choose by Post Template. It works if I do it by Category, but then the extra fields show on EVERY post in the category, even the ones not using the custom post template.
So if you could add this functionality so that I can choose Post Template that I created using the Custom Post Templates, that would be great!
p.s. Those post template do show up under Page Templates dropdown, however if I choose this option on a Post then the custom fields do not show up.
Shortly after sending an email to the developer he replied (on a Sunday!) saying there is already a plugin to expand this functionality!!
Thanks for the email and support.
A plugin exists for post template location rule support!
Well I tried it and it works!! Changed to 5 stars!!! :) :) :)
