I would recommend this plugin for anyone deploying client projects. Documentation is good, but the plugin is solid. Already bought the repeater add-on. :)
I read that someone wrote "The best WordPress plugin"... probably it is.
It's truly an irreplaceable tool, makes super easy working with metaboxes.
Coupled with a good use of custom post types, page templates and custom taxonomies extends WordPress boundaries towards a wider concept of CMS.
I can easily turn each WordPress installation into a unique CMS customised ad hoc for the specific client.
Documentation is excellent and the plugin is often updated by the ACF team.
I also highly recommend to purchase the Repeater and Options plugins!
Because I often use it in conjunction with WPML it needs a few tweaks to make it work well in multilingual installations.
Another tiny limitation is the impossibility to translate admin-side strings, this probably could be an issue if working with a team of multilingual editors.
Thanks a lot!
Great plugin. I installed it on all my WP projects.
Thanks alot for your hard work, appreciated.
Everything works as expected.
Advanced custom fields should become a part of WordPress core. It takes the idea of WordPress as a CMS to its logical conclusion.
Ridiculously intuitive. Great documentation. Came across this plugin a couple of months ago and have since bought most of the extensions. The extensions are well worth the price, adds a lot of value and saves us a ton of time. No brainer IMO.
I used to create my custom metaboxes from scratch, did it that way for years! Then I discovered this through WordPress TV, it has saved me so much time and effort. A really brilliant tool. Thank you.
I really can't imagine making another website without it. It's so helpful for developers and so easy to use for customers afterwards. I also like the developer-friendly details, like geting array of all sizes of image regardless of original image size and so on...
