Customise WordPress with powerful, professional and intuitive fields
Really nice and useful plugin
a must have!
Adding custom meta boxes isn't hard but it's pretty boring. This plugin really takes care of some of the more annoying aspects of developing custom features.
While I still prefer making custom plugins for advanced functionality or post types, this plugin provides an excellent way to add quick additional little features to a post. For example, I just used it to add a File Picker for adding a brochure to products on a rather vanilla WooCommerce install. Quick and easy!
Thanks for the useful plugin.
This plugin has helped me a lot in doing some custom work in the WordPress backend. The free version is great but I advice you to buy the PRO that's even better and has a lot of cool features :D
Most fascinating thing with ACF is that with just a little cleverness you dont need Custom content types plugins, and bloat of code. And can use ACF for that, tune/fine it as you wish.
I registered few custom content types in functions.php, basically clone of post type and with ACF removed from view all i want.
It is not only about removing things from edit view.
It is more about complexity of ACF. Non custom content type can beat so many custom fields options ACF has. ACF id focused on custom fields more than any custom content type plugin.
So in some future upgrade you wont lack options, for sure. And you have real custom content type, best of both worlds, without unnecessary thousands lines of code.
One suggestion, despite it doesnt influence stars. Review of documentation on plugin homepage. If i in many cases find right code on Google, different forums, and not in documentation, then something is wrong.
Best plugin out there. period.
Very well thought out, simple to use, does more then you can think of.
Great plugin, was happy to pay for the repeater add-on. Thanks!
This plugin looked great,
but it doesn't tell you what to do after you install the plugin. You can add fields to pages or posts, I got that far, but after that I was clueless what to do next. Like someone said before, the support/documentation is a maze with bits and pieces of instructions and there is no clear path to follow to get this plugin to work.
Guess I'll move on to something else, because there is no response on the support forum either.
