Thank you - this plugin is exceptionally useful when building complex sites for 3rd parties to enable the non geek client to safely run their own site with just the right amount of back end access.
For me very Useful
I haven't needed support for this plugin, but I can understand that one might. It is very comprehensive and you must be very careful when setting it up. Read through everything you can about it first. Extremely thorough work.
The UI is fab and well organized. Thanks a million.
This plugin is very essential for my purpose, restricting access to specific users / roles in detail. Of course, there are also lots of free plugins such as User Role Editor or Role Scoper. But AAM comprises all you need and is very easy to use.
One thing I do not like: You cannot see in one view which restrictions has been set. You have to scroll to all the menus and pages. This is reason to reduce from 5 to 4 stars.
The plugin works fine on the version of wordpress. The plugin is easy to manage
Great Managing Tool.
However, there are still room for improvement like custom role that can be used readily for new users. e.g super user = a user that has extended capability of the admin side.
I think that is the best WordPress plugin for manage permissions and roles.
It has excellent support (Vasyl).
I am using on a few sites and it works better in some then others. Some sites it does not block or allow the users as I need. But I have had very good results when using woocommerce plugin and just allowing the Shop manager (a wc user role) access to the woocommmerce data only. My client only needs to see the order and not anything else. I look forward to the new version coming.
I didn't find any user-rights and menu-editor which has that many useful features, unfortunately it breaks some of the connections created with POSTS2POSTS when activated.
But if you don't use POSTS2POSTS I highly recommend it.
